Frostedpaw's Warrior Ceremony

Froststar was always quiet when he leaped onto the Jaggedrock, careful to not disturb his clan immediately. There was something about watching the camp in its natural state that fascinated the tom, as long as nobody noticed he was up there. When they did notice then there was a lot of gathering and such that really disrupted his observation. However, he never stayed for long, there was always a reason he ascended the rock, and tonight was no exception. "All cats old enough to silently stalk in the shadows, gather in the shadow of Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!" The clan could always use more warriors, and the new leader was ready to name one.

Frostedpaw sighed. Another meeting. With a small huff, she heaved herself up from her position laying down in the corner of the camp. The large and fluffy she-cat made her way to the outskirts of the gathering, huddling in the back like usual.

Watching the apprentice that had decided to stick to the back of the meeting, Froststar began the ceremony. "ShadowClan! I've summoned you here today to witness the naming of a new warrior. Frostedpaw, please step forward." A small pause happened as the tom allowed Frostedpaw to approach. "I call upon all those present and watching to gaze upon this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of our noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Frostedpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Frostedpaw showed no emotion as she wove through the crowd to join Froststar at the head of the clan; her usual cold expression solidified on her face. As she stood in front of the leader, she nodded and said simply: "I do." n't care. But she knew she had to say she did, or else she wouldn't get her name. It was in this moment, that perhaps she was taking her approach all wrong... Or was that what the whispers were telling her?

Cold eyes watched beneath Froststar as the apprentice said the words, a somewhat familiar cold expression on her own face. With something of a quiet grunt, the tom continued with his words. "Then it is my honor to name you a warrior before all witnesses present. Frostedpaw, from this day forward you will be known as Frostednight. ShadowClan honors your independence and listening ability, and we are proud to welcome you as a warrior in our ranks." Gracefully, the leader leaped down from the Jaggedrock, giving a lick to Frostednight's shoulder. "Do not forget your vigil," were his parting words as he padded away, allowing others to congratulate the new warrior.
