Cedarpaw's Warrior Ceremony

The gray tabby leapt up unto the Jagged-Rock, not too much longer after his apprentice's assessment had finished. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here for a clan meeting!"

Cedarpaw was at the bottom of that jagged rock. He was filled with excitement, but kept his composure. He was not kit anymore. His tail lashed, still, though it was hardly noticeable.

Nightwing walked out of the warriors den. What could postibbly be so important that they had to wake her up from her very important nap?! She sat down near the back, looking forward to getting back to her nest, tired form going on that border patrol. What? She naming a new deputy? She glanced around, noticing Cedarpaw near the jagged rock. She realized that her was becoming a warrior! Well that is great for him. I wonder what his warrior name is going to be. She thought one of the more natural thoughts cats think when one of the apprentices is being named a warrior.

"It's time for a long, over-due ceremony." The tom meowed to the gathered cats, "Cedarpaw, please step forward."

Gingerheart quickly padded out of the warrior's den to see what the ruckus was all about. When she saw Sagestar on the large rock and Cedarpaw sitting underneath it, she could only guess that it was his warrior ceremony. Feeling very excited for the soon-to-be warrior, she ran out and took her place underneath Jaggedrock.

Cedarpaw did so, stepping up even closer. He smiled, looking up at his leader. "ill see ur arse on wilkos |C"

Sagestar looked up to the stars as he said the traditional words, "I, Sagestar, Leader of ShadowClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code and I commend him to you in his turn." His emerald gaze flickered back to the tabby. "Cedarpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend ShadowClan, even at the cost of your life?"

He had practiced this moment since he was a kit. It was done over and over. I do, I do, I doodly do. It one point, a fantasy consisted of him slipping on a mouse carcass. Eeeeugh...
"I do!" he said in a deep voice, head held high.

Sagestar nodded, "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Cedarpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Cedarfur. StarClan honors your courage and persistence, and we welcome you as a full member of ShadowClan." The tom jumped off the Jaggedrock and rested his chin on the new warrior's head.

"Cedarfur! Cedarfur!" Gingerheart chanted happily. She was so glad the Shadowclan cat was finally a warrior. Now they could do a lot more things together without having to worry about training! That is, if he wanted to.

Nightwing jumped up. "Cedarfur! Cedarfur!" He would be finnaly joinning them in the warrior's den!

Cedarfur accepted the chants gladly with a smile. He looked around the camp, before glancing down at Gingerheart. Purring, he once again looked at everyone else, until they all got bored n left.
