| Deerleap stretched on top of a flat rock. on this particular day, the sun was a bit warmer than usual, and the she-cat was enjoying it with her belly faced up to soak up the warm rays of the sun. she purred softly. was newleaf coming? or was this just an unusually warm day? she had never seen a newleaf, so what was newleaf even? was there really more prey? the warrior stared up at the orange ball in the sky above her. were there really dead cats up there watching and guiding the paws of the living? ______________________________________ Bird | Quillsplash ♂/ShadowClan T4 Warrior/#802318

| Sootwhisker had just returned from a hunt, dropping his meager catch on the pile. It was all he'd been able to find, but a nagging voice in the back of his mind told him that it wasn't enough. He wanted to head out again, but he knew he needed a break. He couldn't serve his clan very well if he over-worked himself, though he was annoyed by his own physical limits.
Spotting Deerleap stretched out in the sun, he walked over, intending to catch up with his friend.

| Basilbloom trotted into camp, quite a few herbs of different kinds clutched in her jaws. The sun today had managed to bring some of the cold plants and flowers out of their shells, and the medicine cat had taken advantage of the opportunity. Finding her favorite stone in the sun to use for drying herbs, the tortoiseshell she-cat carefully laid out each plant in the sun and purred. It would take a little while before she could bring them inside, so when she caught sight of Deerleap and Sootwhisker nearby she was glad for the distraction. "Hi you two, it's a beautiful day today! Mind if I join?" Sitting down and crossing her tail across her paws, Basilbloom recalled taking each of these warriors to the Moonstone. She felt so young at heart still, but she supposed now she would be considered...old? No, middle-aged. Her Mama and Papa were old, not her! ______________________________________

| ❒ Stretching his legs, young Forestpaw let out a gentle yawn as he walked back into the camp after a small stroll. It had been a rather slow day. Nothing much went on but honestly, Forestpaw didn't mind. He enjoyed taking some time to relax and think. Besides, it was one of the warmer days and the young tom wanted to enjoy it as much as he could.
❒ Scanning the clearing, the young apprentice noticed a small group of cats forming by a flat rock. Titling his head with curiosity, Forestpaw made his way over to them. The closer he got, the more familiar the faces became. The group consisted of Deerleap, an unfamiliar tom—who he will most likely learn the name of soon, and surprisingly, Basilbloom. Pushing down his nerves, the apprentice waved hit tail to get their attention once he'd gotten closer. Hopefully, they wouldn't mind him joining in.
❒ Forestpaw gave them all a polite smile as soon as they noticed him. "H-Hi everyone," he began, "Could I join you? I-I don't have much to do right now..."

| Deerleap nearly jumped out of her pelt when Sootwhisker appeared behind her, and even more flustered when Basilbloom and Forestpaw asked to join her. Great starclan! was she that popular? or was the rock she laid on just a nice place to sun themselves. either way, the she-cat got to her paws and shifted over to the edge of the rock, allowing the other cats to join her.
she glanced at the flowers on Basilbloom's head. she had asked Rookfire to teach her herbs before but she didn't recognize this one. "Basilbloom, what are those flowers on your head called? | Swiftheart stretched in the warrior den having awoken from a bit of a nap. The bright sunlight had awoken her and she was really happy for the good weather. Too long had the winter kept the sky grey and dark and the warm sun shining into the den was very welcome. Her ears twitched hearing a bit of a party outside and she grinned heading out to see lots of her friends sitting and chatting. Purring she walked over happy to join her clanmates.
