Not Made for Hunting [Open]

Ares left camp in a huff, not quite caring that he was making enough noise to vacate the entire forest of prey. It was night anyway, the prey should be asleep. Well it should be. Immediately he heard scuffling in the frozen foliage and he dropped to a crouch. He obviously didn't want to actually forsake prey that the Forbidden Order could use.

Blindly leaping at the prey, his claws caught on... absolutely nothing as a rat scurried away. He gave chase, but it out maneuvered the large tom, leaving him in the proverbial dust. Growling, he looked around, annoyed at his hunting skills. He swore, he could never catch anything when he wanted to. When he didn't care though? That was when he was clearly at his best. It was infuriating.

With Ares making as much noise as he was, it was enough to wake anything up. And wake it did, as Aether groggily looked up to see his brother heading out. What had his tail in a twist? Well, seeing as he doubted he would be going back to sleep anytime soon, he may as well follow.

Aether had arrived just in time to see a rat running away, and he couldn't help but give chase. It was simply instinct for the young tom, after all.

But when his paw came down, it was not the rat it had hit.

Aether attempted to catch a rodent. Attempt was unsuccessful! -7 sp

OOC: Alright I saw your discord asking anyone else to play the predator and thought it sounded fun.
.. I choose fox because that sounded like a challenge but remember, you can have the predator run away at half health if you want to move on with your hunt...So you only need to get it to 30 hp or below if you want. Also you have Ares to help out, so I have no doubt you 2 can take it :) good luck... I also gave the fox disadvantage stats as it is starving for food and to get the starting hp a little more fair.


A giant ginger figure rose before Aether, a fox.  Its lips curled back into a snarl as this cat had just inturupted its hunt... no matter he would simply have cat for dinner tonight it made no difference for its hungry belly. The harsh season was not just hard on cats, this fox was looking super skinny and it had not gotten a decent meal in ages... it was very angry that these pair of cats had scared away his meal... they would pay for that by replacing it in his mind.

With a low growl from its throat, it lunged at Aether without warning and grabbed his scruff and shook as hard as it could.

Fox used thrash for 10 dmg and 15 sp targeted at Aether

If flung Aether to the side scowling down at him with orange beady eyes locked onto its target as it slinked towards him wanting to finish this cat quickly as he was starving for his next meal.
