The pair had been sent out on a patrol to mark the border and make sure no enemy cats were lingering about. Honestly, it was draining to travel so far with so little food and sleep but talking was a helpful distraction. Even though he had been a rather terrible apprentice himself, he absolutely adored his mentor as someone to look up to and a clanmate. He wondered if she missed having an apprentice or if she enjoyed it. Crickethop tipped his head as he padded along, turning to her, "Anything exciting going on for you lately? It seems like most everyone has been drained by the weather but life moves on no matter how cloudy and cold it is."

"That's great! I hope that you're having fun training them!" Dandelionflight was happy to be able to patrol with Crickethop. She hadn't seen him much since he was made a warrior. She hoped that he was finding life as a warrior nice. "Dawnfeather has returned to the clan, which is great news! Not much else has been going on, though. How have you been?"
