Clan : SkyClan, moving to ShadowClan as an apprentice
What are the duties of a medicine cat? : To help guide and help their clan by acting as a spiritual adviser as well as a healer, treat every cat the same, and perform duties to the best of their ability, no matter what. A seriousness for clan related matters, a seriousness for the protection and health of their clanmates, and a seriousness for StarClan are required fields, ones that Maplekit lack but is in dire need of learning.
What would you do with this position? : Maplekit was created to be a very laid back and playful cat, with some resentment in her hard towards her mother abandoning her clan, which would be why Maplekit joined ShadowClan in her apprenticeship. This clash between her resentment, her personality, and the position of Medicine Cat Apprentice would be one I think would suit her, as it would teach her life lessons she is in dire need of learning, as well as make her a more serious and loyal cat.
I plan on possibly injuring Maplekit in some way, making her unable to properly perform her duties as a regular apprentice, which would lower her faith in StarClan. Being thrust into a position where StarClan is a major point of her line of work (due to injury) would also clash harshly with Maplekit, which I think would benefit Maplekit's development. Perhaps Maplekit originally begins her work as a meddie with anger and resentment, but slowly finds herself in her work and becomes a very devout and loyal medicine cat.
Why you think you deserve this position? : Even though I've been known to take breaks from the site for mental health reasons, I have been back and better than ever for a while now, and am a very active member in the community! I would love to be able to serve my community this way, especially through Maplekit.
