Goldenkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Dayspring had never considered herself to be a morning cat, but she found herself beginning to appreciate this time of day more and more as time passed. Perhaps it was because the weather was at its calmest, or perhaps it was because that was when she held apprentice ceremonies. Her pawsteps were quick and silent as she leaped onto the Tallrock and called out for the Clan to gather below her.
“May all cats old enough to run the moor gather beneath the Tallrock for a Clan meeting!"

Goldenkit was bouncing on the tip of her toes in excitement. She’d been in the clan for so long that living in the barn was like a dream. A sad dream, but at least she had something to look forward to. When the deputy’s voice rang out to call the clan together, the she-kit already knew what it was for. She pranced from the den with her ginger tail sticking straight up in the air.

"Goldenkit, please step forward." Dayspring gave the kit a warm smile.
"Goldenkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Goldenpaw. Your mentor will be Honeyheart."
The she-cat gave the newly-appointed apprentice's mentor a quick glance of approval before quickly ending the ceremony.
