Highway Don't Care

If some cat were to ask her why she was walking along the thunderpath, she didn't think she would be able to answer. Was she looking for her family? Galloway, Hyacinth, and Kirabo? Maybe, but she knew better than to harbor hope of seeing them. They wanted nothing to do with her after she joined ShadowClan. So what was it she was hoping to find? An escape? No, even if she wanted to leave, where would she go? Maybe a sign? Something to say that she made the right choice? But if there was anything with that answer, why would it be here?

A monster drove by, putting the young apprentice on edge before drowning her in a cloud of fumes. Driven into a fit of coughing, her eyes began to water, blurring her vision. Maybe it would be better on the other side of the thunderpath. Batglow wasn't going to like this, but forever reason, she needed this. So she ran, her paws pounding against the cold, hard rock. She ran, and did not stop until she reached the grass along the other side. Only then did she allow herself to stop, forcing herself to catch her breath.
