A Starry Night (o)

Moonkit couldn't sleep again that night for the 3rd night in a row, so he decided to live up to his name and look at the moon. He slippled out of the den of sleeping kits and mothers and padded out into the chilly night air. He had a think coat of fur, so it didn't bother him too much or as much as it probably should've given his tendancy to wander out at night.

He drank in the scent of the cool night breeze and sat in the middle of the clearing just looking up at the moon. He didn't believe those silly little fairy tales about dead cats in the sky that watched over you as you lived your lives. They were just stories made up by the elders to entertain kits.

During the day he was a quiet kit, but the night and the moons light seemed to bring out a whole different side in him. A side that was more likely to talk and to interact with others. For when the moon was out, Moonkit felt that he could do anything.
