Downtuft and Softbreeze padded side by side, in perfect silence as they accompanied each other, tail entwined. They said nothing, enjoying the comfort of each other, the only remaining two of the Graybriar and Barleytuft kits. An asylum guard, Cow was his name, followed them, and due to the death glares both siblings shot at him, he'd made sure to follow far behind.

With a sigh, Softbreeze broke away from her brother, and Downtuft's green eyes trailed her the entire way. Softbreeze padded up to the fat, almond-shaped leafy plant that was known as chickweed, and nipped and pulled it from the rock crevice gently, turning to see Downtuft gathering some horsetail while still watching her.

A soft smile laced her maw as she walked back to her dear brother, the only cat who'd never forsaked her or left her. Downtuft was a constant in her life; from the womb they shared, to their earliest days in the nursery until even now, when times got rough he'd never left her and for that she was eternally grateful. Carrying the chickweed over, and momentarily placing it on the ground, she swiftly nuzzled Downtuft tenderly, hoping to convey her deep and eternal gratitude toward him with the little gesture.

The sandy tom grinned, whispering an 'I love you' before picking up the gathered herbs, and the duo made their way swiftly back to camp. The Asylum guard had to run to match their pace and he was completely forgotten.
