Lookin for a fight (open to any to fight Willow)

Willowpaw was bored, so she decided to do a little patrolling alone.  She walked along the border.  She suddenly saw a flash of fur and a whiff of non-RiverClan scent, though she couldn't tell which one of the other Clan's it was.  There was an intruder!

Briarthorn wanted to fight. He stomped around, and before long, found himself in RiverClan territory. He should have been chosen as deputy! Instead, they chose his apprentice. Where do they think she learned to do anything? He thought her everything she new! Briarthorn stopped where he stood and took a deep breath. Olivestone would be a great deputy, maybe he just needed to prove himself more. Soon he found what he was hoping for, an unsuspecting, alone RiverClan apprentice. He walked up until he was only inches from her. "Hello there, kit." Briarthorn said, looming over Willowpaw. "What are you doing so far from camp? You can run into some scary individuals out here..." He waited to see what the young she-cat would do.

"If you see any, let me know," Willowpaw retorted, "I wouldn't be scared by the likes of you!" 
"You should not be on RiverClan territory!" she growled.  She leaped toward him, ready for a fight.

Willowpaw used Belly Rake, dealing 7 damage and costing 10 stamina!

"Oh, you should be." Briarthorn smirked as Willowpaw attacked him. If he got in trouble for this, he could always say that the apprentice had attacked first. He almost just let the apprentice strike him, offering little resistance. "Was that supposed to hurt? Let me show you how it's done, kit." Briarthorn unsheathed his claws, raking them on Willowpaw's side, then her back, then her face, again and again and again. After slashing her many times, he retreated a tail length or two away, his green eyes on the RiverClan apprentice. "There are reasons kits aren't let out of the camp. Maybe you should've listened." Briarthorn put emphasis on the word 'kit' every time he said it, purposefully provoking her.

Briarthorn used Rending Front Paws on on Willowpaw, dealing 13 damage and using 25 stamina

Willowpaw dodged the attack.
"Haha you missed me!" she mewed provokingly
She tried to guess the reason that he was trying to provoke and fight her.  When she couldn't find a reason, she realized that he might be trying to prove himself to someone.
"At least I don't cross the border looking for a fight!"

"Also," she added, "if I'm a kit, you should be ashamed of attacking me, for either those desperate enough to prove themselves, or those who are just plain evil would stoop so low to attacking the youngest of the Clan!"



Willowpaw used Dodge and Fight, costing 15 stamina.  The "Fight" was unsuccessful

The annoying little apprentice dodged Briarthorn's claws, then turned and insulted him. Why you little-! A red light reflected in his eyes as his vision faded into red. Enraged, Briarthorn leaped onto Willowpaw's back, claws digging into her shoulders. He pinned her there, breathing heavily. Briarthorn no longer cared that this was an apprentice. She kept on laughing at him, saying that she wasn't afraid. Well, then he would have to make her.

Briarthorn used leap and hold on Willowpaw, dealing 11 damage and using 10 stamina. Willowpaw is stunned for one turn

Willowpaw didn't really care that she was pinned.
"Wow, I'm surprised," she mewed sarcastically, "you were finally able to land a blow on me, for once."
Willowpaw knew that sometimes words could hurt more than claws, and sometimes the cat that walks away having won the battle will feel the most defeated.  She didn't think that she would win this battle, but might still have him regret ever crossing into RiverClan territory.


Willowpaw leaned in next to his ear
"At least StarClan didn't kill my leader." she sneered, "the proper death for a leader of a Clan of rogues!"
She let her words sink in, wanting to see the effect they would have.


Willowpaw is pinned.

Briarthorn thought he had been angry before. Nothing prepared him for what he now felt. This fox-hearted RiverClaner insulted Finchstar, only days after his death. His breathing became more notacably heavy as he stepped off of Willowpaw. Briarthorn  turned his back on her, making it look like he was about to leave. But at the last moment, he turned around. He bared his teeth and snarled at her, sounding more like a dog than a cat. "Y O U  T A K E  T H A T  B A C K!" Briarthorn charged Willowpaw with the speed of a WindClan warrior. He leaped up and brought his paws, claws unsheathed, as hard as he could on the RiverClan she-cat's head. "I HOPE YOU ROT IN THE DARK FOREST!" He yowled before dashing back across the border. He didn't know if that final blow had mortally wounded her, but he didn't care. If she died, she deserved it.

Briarthorn used Upright Lock on Willowpaw, dealing 14 damage and costing 25 stamina. Willowpaw has been KO'd

Willowpaw knew that he couldn't hear her anymore, but she didn't care.
"I'll take it back when you learn not to cross into other Clan territories." she spat.  She knew that she had struck a nerve when she mentioned Finchstar. She didn't mean what she had said, she had said it so that Briarthorn would learn a lesson.  The lesson that words could hurt.  Lies could hurt.  When she saw Briathorn run away she knew that it had worked.

Willowpaw limped back toward camp, not feeling as though she had lost, but as if she had won.  She had, in a way.  She had gotten to him.  He had deserved it, though, for crossing the border looking for a fight.  She kept heading toward the camp, feeling content.
