Sparring seemed like a common thing for the large gray warrior these days but it wasn't an issue for him at all. In fact he loved being able to learn more about his clanmates through they way they fought even if it wasn't serious fighting. Plus it let him learn more to apply to his own fights especially with other clans or with predators.

Two Windclan warriors stood squared up across each other. His body ready to move the second the spar started. His former mentor stood across from him. It made him happy that she was willing to help him learn more but this time they stood at an equal rank. The last time they sparred was back when he was just an apprentice trying to find his place. "Ready when you are." He told her, letting her make the first move.

She had been a bit surprised, when Ploverpuddle had first requested to spar with her, but that surprise had quickly dissipated into a feeling of honor that he had come to her. Even after everything, and all the moons that her apprentice had been a warrior, she was more than happy to help keep his tactics sharp. This was far different from when he had still been in training as an apprentice, and she would not underestimate the tom's strength. While she had been recovering, he had been able to keep up with his training, and she was positive that he would surpass her before long. Nodding as he voiced his readiness, she dropped into a slight crouch, blue eyes trained on his figure before she started in, batting on both of his shoulders with sheathed paws.

He understood from her position alone that she was ready to fight. He prepared himself ready to spar, his back legs ready to spring away the moment she went to strike. She was just as fast as he remembered despite her recovery period. It seemed she didn't lose any skill what so ever in that time. The tom took the blow before retaliating with his own.

As the tom rose to retaliate, Goldengale ducked, pressing herself to the ground quickly before spring to the side, landing soundly on her paws and lashing out one more with a forepaw. Ploverpuddle had gotten faster, more sure-footed. This would be an interesting spar, and she couldn't wait to discuss tactics and moves after it was finished. As her paw connected with his cheek, she rebalanced her stance and waited for the next attack.

Goldengale used Dodge and Fight, costing 15 SP. Counter-Attack successful, dealing 7 damage.

Ploverpuddle couldn't help the small growl that escaped him at Goldengale dodging his attack and successfully countering. He wasn't mad at her for it, but he didn't like the fact that he was letting things slip by him like this. He moved forward, pressing himself not to make more slip ups like this, he grabbed her tail and pulled being careful enough to jolt her for a moment but nothing to cause too much pain.

Ploverpuddle used Tail Yank dealing 7 damage, -10 SP. Goldengale is Stunned for One turn.

The small growl did not go unnoticed, and Goldengale smiled slightly, recognizing the look in Ploverpuddle's eyes. As she kept her eyes trained on him, she realized too late that he was circling behind her, letting out a small yelp as he tugged on her tail hard enough to send the shock up her spine, but didn't clamp done on it. Her paws fell from under her in response to the tug, and she willed them to cooperate, but she knew she wasn't getting up quite yet - not in time to defend herself, at least.

Goldengale is stunned!

He wasn't going to waste his advantage that was for sure. She had already landed a couple good hits on him so it was only fair he returned the favor. He quickly jumped at his mentor striking at her with sheathed paws. This was only a friendly competition, he didn't want to cause any real damage to Goldengale.

As she had expected, Ploverpuddle didn't hesitate to take advantage of his chance, and she could only brace herself as he leapt towards her. After a flurry of blows, she rolled away and found her paws, her tail still stinging slightly. As Ploverpuddle was regaining his balance from his leap, she spring forward to land on his shoulders, letting her weight hold him to the ground. That should get her some time to regain her composure.

Goldengale used Leap-and Hold, dealing 13 damage and costing 10 SP. Ploverpuddle is held for 2 turns.

The large gray tom let out a grunt as he was forced to the ground by his mentor. He should have known that last move was risky and would have left him open to being pinned, but he knew he could get out of this. He pushed himself closer to the ground if it was possible before rolling over freeing himself of Goldengale's grip.

Bracing herself as Ploverpuddle lowered himself closer to the ground, she smiled briefly as he rolled from under her. Finding her own paws, she took the chance while he got his to swat at his shoulders with both paws before stepping back once more, tail twitching as she waited for his next attack.
