Unexpected suprise

"Kits, back to the nursery!" Leopardheart growled, still scratching the hawk.

"I must help!"
Screeched Sunpaw over all of the noise.
She, too, leaped up onto the hawk, picking her way to the top.
once she was on it's back, she bit it's neck.

Leopardheart schreeched. "Sunpaw, claw its eyes!"

"Ok!"
Quickly, she did as instructed.
The bird screeched, flapping it's wings madly.
She clawed them, and it fell to the ground with a THUD

Leopardheart bit down in the birds neck.

Angelkit watched in awe as the hawk started to die.What a magnificent bird,killed so easily by her clanmates.One day she would be like that,able to hurt anything that threatened the clan.

Sunpaw scratched it's back. When the bird no longer moved, she looked at her leader and deputy. Their pelts were spattered with blood and they were gasping for air. So was she.

Leopardheart finally let go, gasping. "Where on earth did that come from?"

"I don't know..."
Sunpaw said, out of breath.

Goldenstar glanced at the hawk. "Suppose it was an omen? Agh, well, at least it didn't get any kits." She looked around. "Everyone ok?"

"I'm fine" Lightningkit mewed

"Same with me" Snowkit mews.

Deadpaw padded cautiously out of the apprentices' den, sniffing at the huge dead bird.
"Isn't it a little strange for a hawk to come right into a whole camp of cats? It could smell our scent here.." he meowed thoughtfully. He raised his head to look at Goldenstar.
"Are we going to eat that thing?"

"well... it IS fresh-kill..."
Said Sunpaw, uncertain.

" Cool! I've never had hawk before!" Lightningkit mewed excitedly
