Fresh kill YUMMMMY

Lightninkit walked out of the nursery and walked towards the fresh kill pile. He sought out the biggest vole he could find and took it to his favorite eating spot, by the highrock. He tore into the flesh of the miniscule creature and took a moment to savor the taste of the vole. He had not eaten in 2 days so he was very hungry.

Deadkit spotted a rabbit, but instead of eating it, he dragged it over to the nursury. He scrambled back out, and picked out a mouse. "Can I sit here?" he asked Lighningkit throught a mouthful of fur, padding over to him.

Featherpaw walked passed the two kits, and gave them both disapproving glances.
"Deadkit, you will not eat a mouse and a rabbit, take one back."
She said threateningly.

Deadkit stood up so he was facing Featherpaw nose to nose.
"I didn't eat the rabbit," he replied sharply. "I left it for the other kits and queens to eat," he finished, his eyes narrowed, tail-tip twitching.
He waved his tail toward the nursury, where cats began to gather, shooting grateful glances towards him. "See?"

"Calm down, you two!"
Complained Sunpaw, who came from a rock behind them.
"I was trying to sleep, but you were fighting!"

"Sure you can sit here Deadkit!" Lightningkit Exclaimed " and sorry for waking you Sunpaw" Lightningkit mewed.

Deadkit let his fur lie flat, his anger dying away. "Sorry, Sunpaw," he echoed Lightningkit, flicking the tip of Sunpaw's ear with his tail. "Don't be such a grouchy furball!" he joked, settling down next to Lightningkit, digging his teeth into the mouse. "Your an apprentice, going on an elder!" he added amusingly between chews.

"Elder?"
She hissed.
"Who are you calling an elder?"

Deadkit recoiled. "It was only a joke, you know..." he murmured, his ears flat
"I'm sorry If that offended you!" he added, his eyes growing sad. "I always mess up."

"well, i know that it was a joke! it was a bad one!"

Deadkit scuffled his paws. "I'm really sorry," he confessed. "I haven't gotten much sleep lately," Deadkit muttered. "I guess I've been to exited about my apprentice ceremony."
He looked at Featherpaw. "I'm also sorry to you, for being so snappy, and for the misunderstanding." He shook his head, embarrased. "I HATE causing trouble."

Leopardheart growled irritably and walked out. "Now, what?"

"kits."
She muttered

Leopardheart growled. "Kits, back to the nursery."

"Elder? hah, me, an elder?"
she mumbled to herself.
