OOC: This is the prequel to "Finding peace"

IC: It was early in the morning. Not many were up and about. Crowfur, used to awaking at unreasonable hours, was now munching on a frog he had retrieved from the pile and was now seated at the camp's center. The old warrior looked ahead of him with unfocused eyes. He was looking at nothing in particular. He often spaced out when he was a bit tired. However, he enjoyed losing himself in his thoughts. It brought him contentment and allowed him to focus on his tasks later in the day. Lately, he hasn't quite felt like himself. He knew why but he wasn't going to seek help. Nobody seemed to notice and Crowfur was thankful for that. He would be okay. He was a strong cat despite being perhaps the oldest one in the clan. His old bones still felt sturdy. Those were excuses he made in his mind to not admit that he was stubborn. Reflecting back on his life, he realized how much he has changed. He hoped it was mostly for the better.
