Lilacpaws Battle Training

Midnightpelt poked her head inside of the Apprentices den. "Lilacpaw, time to get up!"

Lilacpaw jumped up her fur sticking strait up! She hissed half asleep. Finally opening her Lilac eyes she saw MidnightPelt and giggled.
"Sorry MidnightPelt!"
she mewed quietly.

Midnightpelt smiled slightly. "Its ok. Come on." she said, walking towars the training center.

Lilacpaw followed, her mind filled with drousy thoughts. She smiled and her tail twitched with excitement.
"What are we going to do today?"
She mewed smiling.

"Battle training." she said. "You ready for it?"

"Yeah! " She mewed flicking her tail back and forth.
"When can we start?"

"Once we get over there." Midnightpelt said, twitching her tail to a tree.

Lilacpaw nodded at sprinted to the tree.
"Can we start now, now, now?"
she asked excitedly.

Midnightpelt laughed. "Yes." she said. "First, you must keep your claws sheathed. I want you to try and rake your paw ove my belly or side."

Lilacpaw flexed her paws and unleashed her claws. She tried to leap onto MidnightPet and slice her paws across her belly.

Midnightpelt stepped towards the right a fraction, so that Lilacpaw didnt touch her. "You must think ahead of your opponent. If you dont, you miss."

Lilacpaw frowned and swished her tail with anger.
"What do I do then?"

"Yuo read you ropponents body language." Midnightpelt said. "Watch how my weight shifts, where my eyes go."

Midnightpelt shifted slightly to her left hind leg, getting in postition to run to Lilacpaws right and trip her. "Where did I shift my weight to?"

Lilacpaw watched with big Lilac eyes.
"Your left leg!"
She said her voice mysterious.

Midnightpelt nodded. "Front of back?" she asked.
