Frostkit's Apprentice Ceremony

It had been a few moons since a little bedraggled red and white kit had been brought into camp. Marshstorm still remembered it. The fragile kit being carried by Lilypaw, then looked after by her and the clan as though he had been born into it. A smile tugged at his muzzle. Wasn't that just the ThunderClan way? He admired his adopted clan for their loose policy on taking in outside kits. Now, it had been his turn to see what it was truly like. He didn't regret it a single bit.

Now the little ginger and white tom was of age. He watched the kit, who was now an apprentice, shakily interact with the clan. He was quiet, but that was hardly unusual as he leapt to the top of High-rock. The little kit just needed a good mentor and time. Which he would hopefully get... after the battle. His heart clenched tight in his chest thinking about the oncoming war. His mind whirled in concern which he shook off before he made the summoning call.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath High-rock for a clan meeting!" He yowled. His voice not carrying his concern for the future, but joy. For this moment.

The small tom put on a brave face, but his shaking fur betrayed his nervousness. He was unsure if he would measure up, but hopeful for the future. He knew that whatever he would be asked to do would get his best efforts. He was determined to prove himself to the Clan.
After feeling all this in an instant, he anxiously looked to Marshstorm to see what would come next.

Marshstorm looked down on the gathered cats and smiled in approval at Frostkit's presence. He flicked his tail with patience, beckoning the kit to make the step that would bring him into the life of an apprentice.

"Frostkit, step forward." He meowed, then paused. Waiting until the kit did as bade before he continued. "Frostkit, you have reached the age of six moons. It is now time for you to become an apprentice. From this day on, until you recieve your warrior name, you will be known as Frostpaw."

He looked over at a delicate she-cat warrior and gestured for her to come forward. "Your mentor will be Cloverleaf. May her kindness and strength be passed down to you." He concluded with a leap down from Highrock.

Frostpaw gingerly touched noses with his new mentor, eyes shining with anxiety and hope, already wondering what the first thing he would be asked to do would be. After all, he wanted to do his best.

After the conclusion of the ceremony, he waited patiently for his first order.
