Ratkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Marshstorm stood at the top of high rock. His eyes caught the black pelt of Ratkit outside of the nursery and he purred slightly. The young kit was ready to be apprenticed, another one so soon. He felt quite pleased with how the clan was growing as he yawned for a moment then yowled out.
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath High-rock for a clan meeting!" His call was clear as he sat down to wait for his fellow warriors to gather around. He looked at Ratkit expectantly, that he would come to the meeting as well.

Ratkit was ready to be an apprentice. Camp was boring. He hoped he had a good mentor. He looked at the deputy and hoped that this cat was smart and would give him a good mentor. He was not happy as normal but a little excited for this. At least there would be more to do.



I used a grammer because Dewberries said it would be good to work on think this time so I hope it is good

"Ratkit, step forward." He meowed down from the top of High-rock as the black kit approached. He smiled comfortingly at the kit, confident in his decision as he looked meaningfully at one cat in the crowd before he began the traditional words.
"Ratkit, you have reached the age of six moons. It is now time for you to become an apprentice. From this day on, until you recieve your warrior name, you will be known as Ratpaw." His gaze turned to Swoopnose as he nodded. "Swoopnose will be your mentor. I'm sure you could learn much from his courage and honour." He ducked his head before he leapt down from High-rock.

Another apprentice? It had been a while since Swoopnose had gotten his last one, so he guessed that he shouldn't be too surprised. Marshstorm trusted him with Ratpaw, so he was obligated to mentor this young kit into becoming a fine warrior. Padding over to the small tom, he touched noses with his new apprentice, as was tradition. This was his second opportunity at training a cat, and hopefully this time everything would go fine. Hopefully StarClan would pity him and allow this apprentice to be well behaved, and let training go perfectly. He would never forgive himself if what happened to Smokepaw repeated. "Training starts tomorrow. Meet me by the prey pile when you're ready."
