Dovestream needed to get out of camp for a bit, but she hadn't been assigned to any patrols. Certainly, it wouldn't be a crime if she took matters into her own paws and started a patrol of her own, right? Deciding to do so, the gray tabby padded swiftly out of the warriors' den and headed directly for the familiar camp exit that she went through every single day. Once she was in front of it, she turned around and let out a yowl.
"Yo, guys! Anyone wanna join me on a hunting patrol?"

Swiftstep strolled right up to Dovestream with his signature grin. "Hey there darling! I wouldn't mind getting my jaws around a rabbit right about now." he said while licking his muzzle and with a playful twinkle in his amber eyes. Honestly, he just wanted to get out of the camp. Nothing like a good run in the territory, being one of or even the fastest cat in Windclan.

Having been sitting at the edge of camp doing nothing in particular, Smokepelt watched as Dovewing began to form a patrol. While simply sitting was always nice, he knew that he needed to help out the clan and decided that a patrol would be a sufficient way to do so.

Getting up from where he sat, the tall, lean warrior gave his hind legs as stretch and let out a yawn. "I'll join," he mewed simply as he padded over to the two younger cats.

As soon as Foxpaw heard the word 'hunting', she rushed over. "Can I join your hunting patrol?" She asked. "I'm sure my mentor would be fine with it!"

Dovestream couldn't help but roll her yellow eyes at the little nickname "darling". However, she wasn't annoyed. The she-cat matched Swiftstep's grin with one of her own.
"Hopefully you'll get your jaws around more than one." She said, hoping for the best.
Her gaze then shifted so that she could look at Smokepelt. The tom was much older than her, and she didn't know him very much. All she knew was that he was Ashstar's son and the former deputy of WindClan.
"Cool. We could always use more paws." She said, nonchalantly, to the warrior.
Finally, there was Foxpaw. Dovestream kept the smile on her face as she nodded at the younger she-cat.
"Mhm. The more the merrier. Welp, I think we should go before the entire Clan wants to hunt with us."

The young she-cat quickly turned around and flicked her tail to let the others know to follow her out onto the moor. She loved the feeling of the breeze blowing swiftly and strongly through her fur as she walked against the current of the wind. It was pretty much all that she was used to. It didn't take very long for Dovestream to lay eyes upon the prey that WindClan was known for: rabbits. It was a nice, big, brown rabbit that was facing away from the gray tabby she-cat. She could catch this, she knew it. After glancing over her shoulder to make sure that the other patrol members were hunting, she made her way toward the rabbit. If it ran off, then she'd just use the speed that WindClanners had to pin it and kill it. As she approached, the rabbit seemed to sense her coming, and it darted off. Right when she saw it begin to move, Dovestream sprang after it, pushing herself to run faster until she caught up to the creature and pinned it down. It was fairly easy to snap its neck and kill it quickly. When it fell limp, the warrior stared down at the catch with pride. She decided that she'd let it sit there until the patrol headed back for camp.

Foxpaw tasted the air. She smelled hare. She crept downwind of it, and ran as silently as possible towards it, claws unsheathed. But it spotted her too soon, and pelted away. Foxpaw tried to run after it, but it jumped down it's hole, far from Foxpaws claws. "Mouse dung!" She cursed. She had been so close! Then, she heard a growel behind her. She turned around, and saw a racoon! She was supprised to see it out in daylight, as racoons usualy don't do that. Quicly, she rememberd her battle training. Foxpaw ran at the racoon af full speed, than slid under its belly.
Foxpaw uses belly rake, doing 7 damage and costing 10 stamina.

OOC: Foxspirit, the raccoon's health was supposed to go down to 23 hp and not 27 hp since Foxpaw did 7 damage and not 3 damage.

IC: Swiftstep's head shot up at the sound of fighting. Oh no! He ran as fast as he could to the direction of the battle. He saw young Foxpaw up against a raccoon. He hissed and tackled the beast with outstretched forearms. The force toppled the creature over. He grinned in satisfaction. 'That's what you get when you mess with Windclan!' he silently thought. "Stay behind me Foxpaw. I don't want this thing hurting you." the warrior instructed.

"Thank You!" Foxpaw was shaking with adrenaline, hardly able to stand up. Shaking her head to clear it as she watched the racoon run away.

Following the patrol out of camp, Smokepelt opened his jaw to scent any possible prey nearby, but before he was even able to crouch down in the hunters stance, the sound of a fight broke out. Whipping his head around, the tall warrior ran over to where the sounds were coming from and arrived just in time to see the raccoon scrambled away from the cats.

"You good?" Smokepelt mewed, looking to Dovestream and Foxpaw. No one looked like they were injured, which was good.
