Flynn's/Mange's Apprentice Ceremony

Blizzardstar leaped onto the Highrock, taking a deep breath to calm herself down. This wasn’t a normal apprentice ceremony, she was about to introduce yet another rogue to the clan. Even if the cat had saved Sharptooth the previous day and earned himself some friends within the clan, she couldn't help but hope the rest didn't react negatively to this “All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Highrock for a clan meeting!”.

Flynn was thankful for Mapleleaf's handywork. His wounds were scabbed over and he didn't feel nearly as weak as he had the previous day. Things were looking up now, ThunderClan seemed like a good place. He let out a breath when he heard her voice and headed to the clearing, grooming some bits of moss off of himself. It was time according to the others. He knew what to say and mostly knew why though, he felt he wouldn't be able to fully value what was happening until he knew more about the clan.

It took only a couple seconds for the white leader to find her voice again before continuing. it was nice to know that she was finally getting used to hold this kind of special ceremonies "As some of you may know, we have yet another newcomer with us…this newcomer asked to be part of the clan despite his origins. I have decided to give him the chance to prove himself worthy of walking between us as an equal” Her eyes almost immediately fell on Flynn as she was done speaking "Flynn, step forward”.

Flynn looked up at her as he was mentioned, stepping forward. His tail flicked softly against new shoots of grass poking through snowmelt.

Blizzardstar took a deep breath “Flynn, you have asked to join us and by doing so you have accepted to leave your old life behind. You will follow our ways, respect and embrace our traditions as if they had been always part of your life, live the life of a warrior and not the codeless life of a rogue that you had until this day. To begin this process, and before the whole clan, I give you a new name, a name that you will have until the day you prove to the clan and to our ancestors that you deserve to be called a warrior, Boarpaw” The words of this unnusual ceremony were starting to roll off her tongue with ease at this point “Featherheart will be your mentor” With that she jumped off the Highrock dismissing the clan.

Featherheart looked up from his sparrow at the call to highrock. He smiled at the young cat who was called out, then stood before her. A strange looking cat, but one whom had saved his mother, and therefore had earned his respect. He waited with curiousity to see who would be his mentor, only to blink in surprise when his name was called.

Oh?. Oh, Right!

He padded out of the crowd with a cheerful smile on his muzzle. His green eyes amused at his own forgetfulness that he would be getting an apprentice at all. With a single step, Featherheart closed the distance to press their noses together.
"Welcome to the clan, Boarpaw." He greeted warmly. A more proper welcome, with a more proper name in his opinion as he flicked his tail and glanced at the other tom's injuries. "We'll start tomorrow. So get a good rest."
