Hawkkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Leopardclaw leaped onto the Highrock and called out; "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Highrock for a clan meeting!"

Hawkkit walked out of the nursery and looked around before sitting down. He had the feeling that this would be his apprentice ceremony. He was excited in the inside.

Once the clan had assembled, the golden spotted deputy found the lucky kit of the day among the crowd and called out; "Hawkkit, step forward!"

Hawkkit did as the deputy told and stepped forward.

Leopardclaw's mouth twisted upward slightly in a dull smile as the young tom stepped forward, and the spotted tom began the ceremony; "Hawkkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Hawkpaw. Your mentor will be Foxfire. I trust that he will pass down all that he has learned on to you."

Foxfire blinked as he was chosen to mentor Hawkpaw. He stepped forward and touched noses with his new apprentice. ”I’ll teach you all I know.”
