Amberkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Crowstar called out to his clan. "Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather here for a clan meeting!"

Amberkit's paws pulled away in an instant as they touched the snow, her ears flicking back with the annoyance of the cold. Amberkit turned to look back briefly at her parents, Moonlight and Tinylegs. Taking a deep breath the calico braved the evil snow and padded out to the middle of camp and sat down... if a cat could counting squatting to a level in which her rump did not touch the snow as sitting. Looking up at Crowstar with shining blue eyes with undampened excitement.

It was a bit funny to see the kit wade through the snow. It was going to be tough learning to deal with it but she would learn. "Today we are gathered to make another kit into an apprentice. Amberkit please come forward." The tom said.

Amberkit stepp- well, she leaped forwards preferring to stand this time instead of squatting. She was so excited!

"Amberkit from this moment on, until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Amberpaw. Your mentor will be Hawkstrike, I hope he passes on his battle readiness and determination to you." The leader said before jumping down to end the ceremony.

Mumblepaw watched silently from the side of the clearing. The younger she-cat was full of so much energy. He wondered how she could be so bold under the watchful eye of the entire clan. It was strange to the timid little tom. As Crowstar spoke, he watched intently. When the final words echoed, Mumblepaw's ear twitched. She was going to be Hawkstrike's apprentice too? That didn't sound pleasant at all. He would be forced to train with a seemingly outgoing energy ball. The tom hoped their sessions would be separate. While he still had yet to train much, that was okay with him. Maybe Amberpaw would take all the warrior's attention.

"Amberpaw... Amberpaw..." He muttered softly in his own way of welcoming his new denmate.
