Dappledpaws training!

Blazeflight awoke at a fairly unusual time, as always, and got up from the warrior's den to stretch her legs. She padded to the apprentice's den, already forming a plan in her mind for what herself and Dappledpaw would do today. "Dappledpaw, time to wake up." She meowed gently. The newer apprentices always complained about how early she woke them up, but hopefully Dappledpaw would be a different story.

Dappledpaw's head shot up from her nest as she heard her new mentor call her name. "Coming!" she called back excitedly, her paws scrabbling in the dust in a rush to get up. She sat at the paws of Blazeflight, looking up expectantly. "What are we gonna do today?" she asked, eyes shining with unheld enthusiasm. All her friends had been apprenticed and trained - now it was her turn.

Blazeflight looked into the newly appointed apprentice eyes, noticing that Dappledpaw was already almost the same size as her. 'Great things come in small packages.' "Well, Dappledpaw, I will first show you around the territory- just remember that if we come across a cat from a different clan, you stay back, alright?" She didn't want any unnecessary situations like there had been in the past.
