Was he even in the right place?

Sure, it smelled of SkyClan here, but it was so hard to tell where he was due to his nearly blind eyes. Scorch had made it into the forest territory, waiting for a patrol to pass by before entering. The scents and sounds of the trees had become impossible to resist. So he'd sneaked in. Everything was just as he remembered; expect for the fact he had no clue as to where he was. Really. He'd been trained among these trees, he'd trained others among these trees. He'd fallen in love under these trees, he'd... almost died under these trees. The rogue paused for a moment to feel the small breeze ruffling what little fur he had. Was it right to come back?

It had to be. After all, he had made a vow during his warrior ceremony to protect his Clan, even at the cost of his life. Even if he'd broken it by leaving out of pure shame. Maybe this wasn't a good idea. He squinted up at the branches, pondering everything. Everything made sense among the leaves far above. Everything had its place. Did he have a place? No. But he wanted to have one again so badly. His claws dug into the bark and he ran up to the first branch, wheezing a bit. 'It feels so amazing to do that again.' He clambered higher and higher until the forest floor fell away and he could see the clouds floating lazily by.

I sound below startled him out of his thoughts. 'I shouldn't have come here.' No one knew him in SkyClan anymore. He had no verifiable alibi.
