The Night Sky (Open!)

Blazingpaw merely nodded to Blacktwig, wrapping his fluffy tail around her for support and gently grabbing her by the scruff. He rose to his paws and tried to pull her up, but couldn't. He gazed at the poor bloodied she-cat, his sympathy soon turning into rage. What cat had done this to her? His back fur bristled, but he tried to stay calm and not panic her.

Sunpaw shook her head, squeezing her eyes tight, her breathing fast and shallow. She wasn't in pain anymore, just in shock- the freshly re-opened claw-scratches on her neck and the sides of her head bleeding through the rest of her fur, making it matted. In other places she was missing fur, mainly shed out of fear. The one thing she was sure of was that she would never share what she knew. Never.
Instead of replying she coughed again, hacking up bile. With a shudder she lay still again, resting.

Falconpaw didn't say a thing but, he was very jumpy, he knew very well what would happen if Sunpaw told, he knew what would happen if he told as well. He shook his head to get the scent of blood out for a moment, needing some relief from it. He probably wouldn't sleep tonight and not well tomorrow. He wanted to say what happened, he wanted to tell them what he saw, his throat tightened and he had to back away from the rest to escape from the torment in his brain. If he said a thing, Specklepaw would find out, she'd probably kill him or worse leave him like she left Sunpaw. ThunderClan would have an excuse to get rid of the "pity acception" in their clan, they wouldn't look for him! He glanced around at the others, unable to look into their eyes. Then down at the blood on his paws that made him let out a shaking gasp as if he had almost drowned. What if Specklepaw killed him to keep quiet, what if she knew he was there?

Sunpaw came to a short while later, her eyes slits. She felt horrible, weak and shaking. The elders had told her stories of cats recovering from greencough- They couldn't move and everything hurt. The she-cat winced painfully. So that's what it felt like.
She looked up at Silverpelt- the night was moving on. The moon had already crossed the sky and was halfway down already. She looked up at the cats around her- Blazingpaw, Blacktwig and Falconpaw.
With a small sigh she closed her eyes, confident that these cats would take care of her.

A rolling fog came out of the undergrowth, it's cold presence making itself known. It creeped, it crawled, slithering out between leaves and consuming the earth in it's wake. The fog seemed to come from all sides, trapping Blacktwig, Blazingpaw, Falconpaw and wounded Sunpaw in it's icy embrace. The air grew thick, breathing had to be hard, and every puff of air let out a cloud. Moss frosted over, leaves gained a film of ice and the earth crunched with flakes. The warmth of a Greenleaf's night was non-existent in this moment.

Sunpaw shivered as she felt the fog roll in, sneaking its way through the undergrowth until it seemed to surround and almost choke the  cats.
She looked back up at the cats- what were they going to do? All they had done so far is talk.

The fog swirled ferociously for a second before it disappeared in a puff. When the mist all faded away, only Falconpaw, Blazingpaw and Blacktwig remained. As for little Sunpaw, she was gone, wounds and all, taken away by the mist. There was nothing anyone could do, no scent trail to follow, no footprints.

Sunpaw was taken.
