Hunting for Wild Things [Closed]

Raccoonfang let out a small sigh once Wildpaw missed another piece of prey. She thought he was getting a hang of it, but it seemed other wise. She still had hope after all he did try to catch a bird. They weren't that fit for hunting birds. Though she was about try to hunt one herself.

Her green eyes locked on to a bird, and she crept closer to it. She couldn't use her speed for this one cause they could take to the air. She would have to be slower. Once she felt she was close enough she pounced on the bird hoping to have it in her paws. And of course she missed. It seemed neither of them had luck with birds.

Seeing his mentor miss a bird as well made him feel a little better about his missed finch. But it still didn't make up for the first lost rabbit. He figured he should attempt at least one more kill and he tasted the air, tongue sticking out slightly. He caught scent of a hare, and he stalked it properly and then pounced. It was sloppy, but he got the kill with a quick nip to the back of the neck. He padded over to his mentor and set the fresh-kill down so he could speak. "Do you think that's enough prey for today? Or should we keep going?" he asked quietly so if they did decide to keep going, he didn't spook any prey.

"Yeah that's enough for now. We can go hunting another day." They caught a decent amount even if they didn't have the best of luck. The brown and white warrior returned and picked up the prey she caught, and nodded to Wildpaw to return to camp.
