Intergenerational Trauma [Closed]

There was always a distant nature to Ivyfall, Sparkwillow noticed. The deputy always seemed to be one step removed, yet not at the same time, lost in something deeper. It was similar to Thistleblaze and her anger, but that made sense, Thistleblaze wasn't always a RiverClanner, who knew how her mind worked. However, Ivyfall was a pure RiverClanner, and never really had much happened to her, from what she'd heard from Otterleap. Yet the deputy carried something with her, something that only disappeared when she was with her brother, Rainstorm. She wanted to pry so badly, she'd pester Otterleap, only to be told that it might just be an old cat thing. After all, Fishstar, Mistfeather, Ivyfall and Rainstorm were easily the eldest cats in the clan. It wasn't that, it had to be something else.

Old cats didn't sit high up in trees for hours, doing nothing but occasionally sighing for no reason.

"Lightdrop, Lightdrop!" Sparkwillow meowed, nudging the warrior. "Wake up!"

She had a plan. They'd go to Ivyfall and ask. It was simple. Why did she need Lightdrop? Well, she was a bit afraid of facing the deputy alone, and Lightdrop had been her apprentice, she was close with Ivyfall. It made total sense.

The white she-cat blinked her odd colors open at the calling of her name. Her eyes instantly went to Sparkwillow. "What..? What do you want Sparkwillow?" Couldn't she see she was trying to sleep? The dawn patrol really worn her down. The white warrior shifted and sat up in her nest, sleep still in her eyes. "This better be important.." The warrior said with a dark tone that somewhat resembled her mother's.

"Pft." The she-cat blew air out of her mouth childishly. "Of course it's important. You're the only one that can help me. I need to ask Ivyfall about... Things?" Just as she was about to say exactly what was on her mind, she realised that the warrior's den filled with other cats was possibly not the best place to bring up her observations of the deputy's seasonal depression. Frogjaw looked asleep, but his ears were definitely perked up with interest, silly old coot.

Unable to say more, she gave Lightdrop her best pathetic kitten face as she jerked with her head for the she-cat to talk with her outside.

"Alright fine.." The white she cat said. She stood up from her nest and shoved past Sparkwillow and walked outside the den. What was this about her old mentor? Why couldn't Sparkwillow just ask the deputy herself? Once outside the den the warrior stretched out any stiffness that gathered in her, and a yawn soon followed after. She hoped this would be quick.
