Stoatkit looked over at Mistkit with bright eyes and pricked ears. She lifted her chin proudly, "Stoatkit the Great won't let you get away with that!" The kit announced with confidence evident in her high-pitched kit voice. Bunching her muscles, she growled weakly at Mistkit before leaping at the kit with a shrill and startling shriek of battle.
"Nectarpaw, can I pretend to kill Mistkit since she's taking the rabbits from the fresh-kill pile?"
Of course, Stoatkit wanted to please Nectarpaw. He was an apprentice after all, and Stoatkit looked up to anyone who was older than her.

"Fine. You can pretend to, as long as Mistkit is okay with it," Nectarpaw answered, emphasizing the word pretend. Kits were supposed to play, and he had no right to stop them from doing so. He looked at them pretending to battle, and wondered if they or he would ever actually fight in a battle.

"Okay, you can.." she mewed, "If you catch me first." She wriggled out from under Stoatkit, then sped away from the group. She circled around the fresh-kill pile, as if she would take one any moment. "You better hurry up!" she mewed teasingly, nudging a rabbit with her tail.

Stoatkit acknowledged with Nectarpaw said, giggling softly, before brightening up again once Mistkit agreed to it. The WindClan kit squeaked as Mistkit escaped and let out a playful hiss. After looking back at Nectarpaw with a bright grin, she leaped after Mistkit, having trouble running straight because of how hard she was laughing.
"You can't," Stoatkit began, panting, "Outrun," The ginger-and-white kit was still trying to catch her breath as she ran, "Stoatkit the..." Stoatkit paused so she could inhale and exhale, before running after Mistkit again, "Great!"

Mistkit almost laughed as she stared at the persistent kit. 'Hey, this isn't too bad,' she thought to herself as she climbed to the top of the fresh-kill, looking down at the others.

Nectarpaw resisted the urge to join in the kit's play. Mistkit seemed like a very creative kit, who else would have had the thought of escaping onto the fresh-kill pile?
"Nice moves, Mistkit!" he commented, along with, "You're fast, Stoatkit!" He wondered how Laurelkit would respond to this, and looked at the other she-kit curiously.

Laurelkit, who had seated herself beside Necterpaw, watched as her new friend Stoatkit began to chase her sister Mistkit.  Laughing, she looked up and smiled at the apprentice before dashing off with a smile to join them.  Smirking mischievously, Laurelkit crouched down and snuck up behind the fresh-kill pile, and waggled her haunches.  With a 'ferocious' yowl, she leaped around the pile and tackled Stoatkit, purring enthusiastically as she pinned her to the ground.  "Ha!  Laurelkit the Greatest has gotten her revenge!"

Stoatkit paused chasing Mistkit after she leaped onto the fresh-kill pile and glanced upwards at Mistkit with a sly grin. The she-kit crouched down and got ready to pounce at her, knock her off, pretend to kill her, and reclaim her victory as the feared Stoatkit the Great. "I, Stoatkit the Great, will claim my victory as leader of the fresh-kill pile after I- oof!"
Stoatkit's plans were thrown off track and completely forgotten as she was bowled over by Laurelkit. Stoatkit emitted a high-pitched squeak of shock and surprise as she looked up at Laurelkit, who had successfully managed to pin her, with wide hazel eyes.
"Wow, you managed to tackle Stoatkit the Great!" She began, "respect!"

Laurelkit purred, a victorious gleam in her eyes, and she bent her head down closer to Stoatkit until they were nose-to-nose. "Stoatkit, with our combined powers of greatness, we could easily take down Mistkit the Evil; allies?" Stepping back off the kit a little bit, she grinned as she waited for her response, also shooting a sneaky glare towards Mistkit.

Mistkit overheard what they were saying, and got a good idea. Smirking, she leapt off the fresh-kill, pouncing onto Laurelkit before she could get an answer. "Your sister will ALWAYS be the evil leader of the fresh-kill!" she mewed proudly, then raised herself to her paws. She stood in front of the rabbits protectively. "I'll beat both of you!" she shouted.

Nectarpaw was laughing uncontrollably now. Ruler of the fresh-kill pile? Laurelkit the greatest? How did they think of these sort of things? They were very creative kits, to say the least.
"Who will win?" Nectarpaw said bettween laughs, "Stoatkit and Laurelkit the great, or Mistkit the evil?" Nectarpaw wished he could be that care free, and for some reason decided to play along. "Or will Nectarpaw the powerful finish this battle once and for all?"Though he didn't jump into the tussle, Nectarpaw found himself enjoying this kit's play.

Stoatkit nodded in excitement once Laurelkit offered to become allies with her, but gasped as soon as Mistkit knocked Laurelkit off of her. The ginger-and-white kit bounced to her paws, looking at Laurelkit, Mistkit, then Nectarpaw in turn. After Nectarpaw's remark, the fur on the back of Stoatkit's neck began to bristle.
"Nobody can defeat the dynamic duo of Laurelkit the Greatest and Stoatkit the Great! Not even an apprentice." She said to Nectarpaw, with a hint of a challenge and amusement in her voice. Leaving Laurelkit to attack Mistkit, Stoatkit bounded over to the apprentice and began to bat at Nectarpaw's legs.
"Take that!" She hissed, hiding back a small giggle, "And take that!"

Laurelkit gasped, shocked when she felt herself being tackled off of Stoatkit. Looking up, she discovered that she was pinned by her sister Mistkit. Her face twisted in a playful snarl, she hissed "How did you hear our plans? Is there a spy in our midst?" But who could it be? Growling, Laurelkit kicked her back legs against Mistkit's belly, not enough to hurt too badly but strong enough to push her off. Jumping to her paws, she looked around for her newfound ally, who was attacking Necterpaw. Ah! He must be the spy! Let me just take care of Mistkit the Evil real quick... With a mock hiss, the white she-cat crouched down and dance around her sister, and hissed "Admit defeat, and I might spare you!"

"Never!" Mistkit cried, readying her haunches and pouncing into her sister. After knocking her onto her side, Mistkit started batting her with her front paws. "Surrender, petty warrior, as I am Mistkit The Evil, and I will always win!" She then ran over to Stoatkit, and hopped onto her back. "Fight me or I chuck you into the River!" she mewed playfully, her tail lashing with excitement.

Nectarpaw was taken off-guard by the small attacker. He wasn't too much bigger than her, just a few moons, but he was still careful when he fought back. He carefully batted at her head with his sheathed paws, and was actually having quite a bit of fun.
"No cat in the clans can defeat me! I am Nectarpaw the powerful!" His voice was filled with teasing amusement, and he wondered if he should let the kit win just for fun. That would probably be the right thing to do.
