Venom can bring down a Wasp [closed for Error]

Venompaw had just emerged from the elder's den, just about finished with moss duty for that day. She was still serving her punishment after attacking Wolffang and still filled to the brim with anger. She was ready to explode.

Crossing the camp, she saw someone sitting alone and it took her a few seconds to remember their name. Waspstep, that was it. She'd heard about his kits and mate, of course she had, but not a single bit of pity crept into her heart. Just a snide bitterness. Trotting over to him, she sat down and said quietly
"Waspstep right? I've seen you around camp... you're always alone. Say, didn't you have some kits? What happened to them? Shouldn't you be taking care of them?" she made her tone as innocent as possible, but there was a slight hostility behind it that made it impossible for her to be being serious. She wasn't just annoyed at their leader, she was annoyed at every Shadowclan cat that thought it was okay for scum like Wolffang to be there, and she was fairly certain that Waspstep was one of them. So of course, she was going to give him his just deserts.

Waspstep's eyes flicked to the approaching apprentice, but returned to the ground before Venompaw had said anything. Once she had though he let out a small sigh. "They are dead, along with their mother." The warrior said. He couldn't make himself aware of the intention the apprentice had behind her her words. He just continued to sit there and watch his clanmmates shuffle by.

False horror filled her eyes, but Venompaw's words sounded real
"Well, I'm sorry to hear that. Who was their mother again? I forget" Not a single bit of empathy was behind her seemingly-innocent question, nor was there pity or even a little sadness, and of course the apology was far from genuine. Still, she blinked at him curiously and tilted her head to one side.

Right now, she was being nice. It hurt more when they thought they could trust you, but she'd never met this cat formally. So, she'd build up the kind and caring apprentice image before shattering it to pieces herself. She still felt the rage burning up in her chest, but smothered it. Breaking cats was an art, a delicate and precise art, and it needed to be done well.

"Hawkfrost." The warrior responded simply. He couldn't blame Venompaw for forgetting. After all she was rather young. She probably didn't remember the warrior anyway, probably only heard of his former mate. He didn't even know how many moons she had been gone anyway.

Venompaw had heard of the warrior, but hadn't even met her once. Who knows, she could have been dead before she'd even left the nursery. Still, she knew what to say next
"Well I've never heard of her so she probably wasn't that important of a warrior anyway. How did she die?" Not only was she calling his old mate insignificant and worthless, she was dragging up the painful memories which he'd undoubtedly tried to leave behind.

It satisfied her, showing the disgusting rogue-supporting cats that maybe they were just as worthless and insufficient as the cats they tried to defend. Her day hadn't started off well, but it was getting better. For her anyway.

Waspstep remained silent fro a little while. So the apprentice didn't know after all.. "I don't know how she died.." The warrior responded. He should leave. This apprentice was dragging up bad memories. He didn't like it. He didn't like it one bit. Why did he stick around?

"Well aren't a great mate. You don't even know how she died? No offence but that's disgusting, I bet you've not even bothered to ask have you? Not bothered to try and remember her at all" Venompaw glared at him, her green eyes cold and steely as she added "She deserved better than you anyway, she probably died trying to escape this prison that you call a relationship"

She stood up, extending her claws so they dug into the dirt before retracting them again. She couldn't afford another fight, she didn't want to be exiled.
