Miss Sadie's Home for Wayward Youth RP

"Well thank you, but it was Jamie who seasoned it," she said indicating the older teen with her fork.

Jamie shot a grateful glance at her for complimenting her chicken.

Adam smiled at the young girl's effort to be polite.

Jessie smiled and put some hickey on her plate, vegetable more so than chicken as she preferred vebtables to meat.

James slipped his hand into Jamie's as they ate.

Jamie smiled but continued to eat without hesitation; after the day she was having she needed all the nourishment she could get.

Natalie knew it would be pointless to contradict Jamie on the chicken, so she just continued to eat quietly. Food was food, after all. As Natalie looked around the table, she wondered the other teens' reasons for being here. They probably just had both parents die or something, nothing like how her relationship with her father was going. Natalie pushed that thought out of her mind, she didn't want to get angry for no reason.

Adam waited until everyone else was busy chatting before taking a chocolate bar from his pocket, "pst..." he slid the chocolate bar across the table, "Take it from me, the dessert here is nothing but sugar-free, imitation crap." he said in a hushed tone.

Jessie smiled and when she finished up she put her away her plate and went out to the porch and sat down on the swing.

James finished up and put his plate away and went to the rec room.

Miss Sadie finished and asked who would like to volunteer to do the dishes, Jamie and Archer quickly raised their hands, hoping to raise this punishment off of them. They cleared the plates and entered the kitchen as Miss Sadie served up dessert. "Alright, who wants some sugar-free sorbet?"

Once finished, Jamie quickly dried her hands and headed to the rec room to find James, she entered and walked over to the window to watch the sunset.

Archer walked outside and sat down next to Jessie, "So, where were we?" he asked wrapping an arm around her.

Jessie giggled and leaned against Archer. "I think we were here." She says before she presses her lips to his and wraps her arms around his neck.

James smiled. "Hey."

Jamie smiled, "Hey," she said warmly. She sat down on the bench that lay in the bay window, tucked her knees to her chest, and patted the seat before her telling him to join her.

Archer put his arms around her and pulled her close, then when they parted he quietly said, "Why did you do that?" he moved to the end of the swing so he could see her clearly.

Adam laughed and looked at Natalie, wondering what was going on in her head.

Jessie shrugged. "I dunno. I mean I feel a connection between us and when we kissed there was a spark." She said blushing slightly.

James smiled and got up and sat next to Jamie.

Archer smiled, "I felt it too...But where do we go from here?" he whispered, pulling her head to his shoulder.

Jamie smiled, "I'm sorry about earlier today," she paused to look down at her feet, "sometimes my anger gets the better of me."

Jessie shrugged. "I dunno. Just go with the flow?" She said.

James smiled. "Its Alright." He said

"It's just, I was left here when I was three, never contacted by my parents, and have been here alone for sixteen years. Now I have all of you, but I know that soon enough you and everyone else will leave as well. And when Natalie comes in here acting like she owns the place it just infuriates me." she rested her chin on her knees, staring at the floor.

"Alright," he said giving her a side hug, "we should probably go in and start getting ready for bed before Miss Sadie finds us," he said getting up and holding out a hand for her.

"Great. And thanks." Natalie sighed at Adam's comment,  and picked up the chocolate bar.

Adam tipped his head to the side, "Is something wrong, Natalie?" he quietly asked.
