This is a Happy Family [Open for Crow's Family]

Crowstar didn't hide in his den today. Today he was out laying in front of his den, absorbing the fleeting sun in the cold leaf bare. His den was insulted but it was too cold to miss this chance of absorbing some sun. The leader's tail flicked against the ground as his yellow eyes observed his clan mates move about the camp and interact with one another. It was nice to seem them getting along. He knew that some of them didn't like him bringing in other cats, but he felt it was the right choice.

Padding over to his father who was laying by his den and looking a little alone, Tinylegs purred. "Enjoying the weather?" the small tom meowed cheerfully, sitting down beside the black tom. Personally, he loved the warmer weather, especially when the clouds made just enough room for the sun to shine down. Tucking his small little paws under his chest, Tinylegs waited for a response, enjoying the company of Crowstar.

Breezewhisker strode awkwardly out of the nursery, almost scraping his head on the low-hanging entrance on his way out from visiting Fawnsplash. Their family just kept growing and growing, and he couldn't seem to keep track of all his young descendants running around. He chuckled as a couple of apprentices scampered past him. He thought he recognized one of them, but he couldn't be sure. His heart stopped for a moment, however, when be saw his father lying there, nonchalant as you please, in the middle of camp. It certainly wasn't often that he actually saw the tom.

The gray tabby tom decided to head over to the leader. There was no point in brooding on the past- he didn't want to become another Antdrop, swallowed up in bitterness. And yet it wasn't exactly his choice whether or not the bitterness of his life would swallow him, but he did get to choose whether or not to let it show. "Hello, Crowstar," Breezewhisker greeted him politely. He could respect him as a leader, if not as a father. He walked over to the tom and sat down, offering a half-smile. The smile widened a fraction at seeing Tinylegs, his midget half-brother. He genuinely liked the tom, even if the tom seemed to have some reserve when around him. Then again, didn't they all? Except Fawnsplash. "Hey there, Tinylegs. How's everyone?"

OOC: Technically Leafstream is part of the family right?

Ic: Leafstream padded over to his dad, uncle and grand-father. "Hi everyone!"
he greeted wondering where all the girls were.

Viperpaw slunk out of the den as quickly as her namesake. Her mossy green eyes looked up at Crowstar with joy. "Hi, grandpa!" the young cat exclaimed. She leapt up onto a half-grassy perch. She seeked out her father and uncle. She smiled quite brightly, rocking on her paws. "Hi, father! Hi, Tinylegs!" she chirruped. She leaned down, ending up falling off of the perch. She sucked in a breath of air when she did, letting it promptly out afterwards. "How are you?" she asked.

"Hello everyone." Crowstar said with a purr as more and more of his family joined him. It was strange for the leader that he was still so young and he had grandkits, but his family was growing and thriving and that is all that mattered to him. They were happy. "The weather is nice today. I'm doing well, happy to see my family in such good spirits." The leader said with a purr.

Viperpaw looked up at the fluffy black leader. She nestled beside him, looking out at the sun, which scintillates even today with brilliant brightness. It seemed to blaze dimly in Viperpaw's eyes when it was reflected. "For Leafbare," she eventually added with amusement. A purr rose in her throat.

Leafstream had never brought himself to ask his question because he was too shy but now he was a respected warrior he would. "What's it like being leader?" he instantly regret asking.

If anything, Viperpaw expected the reply: Well, but stressful. After all, that's what the young she-cat imagined it to be. Leaders did have the responsibility of heading the clan, however, they were normal cats granted the advantage of having nine lives. Viperpaw did admit to herself that she'd love to have that ability in her custody, but she didn't. How could she have such ambitions if she wasn't even a warrior yet? I wonder what name I'll get, Viperpaw thought, getting distracted. She snapped back to reality. "I don't know," she murmured flatly to herself. "I hope it's good..." Viperpaw gazed off longingly, then averted her eyes back to Crowstar and Leafstream.

Emerging from the apprentice's den after a short, well-earned nap, Pansypaw noticed Crowstar laying in the middle of the clearing.  Strange....he usually doesn't just causally mingle with the others....  At first she was content to pass on by, but then she noticed two faces she recognized; Tinylegs...and Viperpaw!  Purring, she trotted over to join her family, meowing a greeting.  Hello!  She flashed a smile at Viperpaw, and nuzzled her father's shoulder.

Viperpaw grinned at Pansypaw. She had to admit, that she was one of the most glad cats in the entire clan when the pretty young she-cat rolled around. She gesticulated towards the ground beside her, as if to offer Pansypaw a place with her family. "Hi, Pansypaw!" Viperpaw chimed adoringly towards her.

Pansypaw waved her tail, cheerfully returning Viperpaw's greeting.  Plopping down on the ground next to her, she opened her mouth and began excitedly rambling to her cousin about how fun it was to be an apprentice, even though the only thing she had done was fetch prey for the queens.    "I haven't been able to go train yet though.  Cherrymist is busy." The gray-and-white she-cat looked crestfallen for a moment, but perked back up a second later.

"Maybe i can ask Cherrymist if i can help with your training!"Leafstream suggested. "Wait maybe not a very good idea."he added quietly thinking about her short temper.

"Compared to me, you're lucky," Viperpaw joked. "I go on more patrols than I do train with gramma!" the she-cat laughed, looking at Leafstream, who had offered to assist Pansypaw in her training. Her eyes then flitted over to Pansypaw like a leaping bird over a chasm. She smiled kind-heartedly.

Pansypaw laughed at Viperpaw's remark, but still felt a bit downcast.  I thought apprenticeship would be full of adventure and....well...excitement!  Her ears perked up at Leafstream's offer, but fell down instantly after.  The tom was right, Cherrymist probably wouldn't take it well.  She was the blind she-cat's first apprentice, it was her time to prove herself.  "Yea, you're right Leafstream.  No bother, she'll probably spend time with me tomorrow."  Gazing down to hide her disappointed face, Pansypaw began to scratch shapes in the muddy earth.
