Patrol for Hazelpaw and Amberpaw [Closed]

Waspstep sat at the entrance of camp waiting for his two sibling apprentices. It was going to be a bit of a challenge training them both but he was glad to do it. He could train them the right way, to follow real leaders like Leopardfang, not a crazy leader like Thrushstar. He let out a sigh expelling his dislike for the current leader of Shadowclan. It was up to the apprentices to choose who they liked, but he would have some influence in it.

Hazelpaw was just waking up after remembering they were training today. The patches cream and white she cat looked over to her sister with greenish eyes and stood slowly stretching. She then padded over to her black sleek furred sister and prodded her hard waking her"come on Amberpaw time for training"she mewed before she came from the apprentices den. She paused looking around before she spotted their mentor Waspstep and she padded over.

Amberpaw groaned when her sister prodded her in the flank. She growled slightly before she stood up,stretched,and let out a wide yawn before she groomed the pine needles from her dark furred pelt before dragging a licked paw over her ginger striped nose before she joined her sister and Waspstep.

"Good morning you two." Waspstep said to his two apprentices. "Today we are patroling the borders." The brown tom said to Amberpaw and Hazelpaw. "Come on let's go." The young warrior stood up from his spot and padded out of camp.

"Morning"Hazelpaw chimed smiling excitedly. It didn't matter to her if they were going to do battle training,hunting or anything. She was just generally excited about being an apprentice. Upon hearing they were doing a border patrol she nodded smiling"alright"

Amberpaw flicked her tail and nodded"morning"she mewed still sounding a bit tired but she seemed excited enough but she was a bit more calm about it. She then followed after Waspstep. Hazelpaw following with a bounce in her step right behind her.

Waspstep glanced behind him occasionally to make sure the two apprentices were still with him. They were going to to the Windclan border first to check things out, but he wanted to stop on the way and teach them a few things first. Once they were a decent ways into the marsh he stopped, and turned back to his two apprentice's. "What do you smell?" He asked each of them.

Hazelpaw stopped abruptly blinking before she sniffed the air for a moment.

"What are we smelling for? I...mean I think I smell frog...I think "Amberpaw mewed.

Waspstep tested the air. "There is certainly a frog near by, while that is good, we aren't exactly hunting today. Though I will test you again when we are hunting." The warrior said to Amberpaw.

The warrior took them out of the marsh and closer to the dryer land of the little bit of border they shared with Windclan. The bit of thunderpath that separated them. "Don't get too close to the Thunderpath now, it is very dangerous. Mosters roam there." The warriror warned. "Now what do you smell?"

Hazelpaw blinked and quickly followed after coming to a stop. She looked at the unusual flat surface before her. She took a brief sniff before she wrinkled her nose up"yuck what that smell"She mewed.

Amberpaw have the same reaction but she tried to smell past it"that....smalls like rabbits...hmm...is Windclan past the Thunderpath?"she asked
