A Bat in the Morning(open)

A black ball of fur flicked her slightly bent back ear slightly and slowly uncurled herself from the nest she laid in. Batkit gave a small smile as she scurried from the nursery wanting to have fun. She looked around with her light blue eyes curiously.

Rowanberry was sitting outside enjoying the fleeting leaf fall sun, when he noticed a movement out of the corner of his eye. His amber eyes flicked over to the source of the movement to notice a small black kit. The tom let out a purr at the sight of the new kit. "Hello little one." He said to Batkit. "Is this your first time out of the nursery?" He asked.

Batkit tail flicked excitedly as she looked around before she blinked pausing in her excited pawsteps and saw who was speaking to her."Yeah its my first time out"She squeaked excited"I'm Batkit"She mewed flicking her bent ears.

Sunblaze padded out of the nursery to welcome her kit to the world. "Hi Rowanberry!" She was wondering if this kit could possibly be his future apprentice.


Leafpaw padded along side Rowanberry. "I can't wait to train with you." he exclaimed wondering if he would still be a apprentice by then.

"Well it's nice to meet you Batkit. I'm Rowanberry." the warrior said to the small black kit. "Is there anything you would like to do your first time out of there nursery?" Rowan berry asked.

The brown and orange Tom dipped his head in greeting to Leafpaw and Sunblaze as they approached to see the new kit.

Batkit blinked and looked around d for a moment before she said hello to Sunblaze and leafpaw. Her gaze then went to Rowanberry"um I don't....know yet"She mewed looking at them.

"Well I can help you with exploring if you want, I could even take you to see part of the territory if you would like but since it's your first time out I think we should just stick to the camp for now if you want to explore." Rowanberry offered. It was one of the first things he thought of for the kit to do. That is what he did when he was a kit was explore. "Maybe if we see Crowstar and ask nicely he will let you see inside the leader's den." The orange and brown warrior suggested.

OOC: Sunblaze is Batkit's mother.

IC: Nodding at Rowanberry she turned to her kit. "Yes, Crowstar is very nice you might be able to go in his den." The young warrior hissed protectively in Rowanberry's ear. "Don't give her idea of sneaking out of camp! That will get her in trouble."

Batkit blinked flicking an war before she smiled a bit at the idea of exploring the camp even possibly some of the territory. That excitement showed as her black furred tail whisked about excitedly."ok I wanna do that it sounds like fun"She squeaked getting back on her four black paws her blue eyes shining eagerly. Her gaze then blinked and looked up at her mother.

Rowanberry glanced at Sunblaze, "You know kits can go outside of the camp as long as they are with a warrior right?" Rowanberry stood up from his spot ignoring Sunblaze for the most part. He wasn't doing anything wrong, just showing the kit a good time. "How about we start with the apprentices' den, Batkit?" The brown and orange warrior said. "Follow me."

Sunblaze not wanting to be proven wrong followed beside her kit to the apprentices den. Hopefully she would see Leafpaw today.

"I wanna see the leaders den first!"Batkit squeaked tail held high with excitement. She blinked and glanced to her mother before she scampered over to Rowanberry excitedly.

Rowanberry chuckled. "No, the leader's den is for last." He said to the kit. "We build up from the apprentices den and work towards the leader den." The brown an orange warrior said, stopping next to the apprentices' den. "Go ahead and take a peek inside." The warrior gestured with his paw.

Batkit blinked"fine"she mewed and followed him to the apprentices den. Curiousity filled the black she kit as she poked her head into the den looking inside.

"Go on." Sunblaze whispered her amber eyes gleaming in the darkness.

"Wha?" Leafpaw yawned. He had been taking a nap in the den. He looked up to Rowanberry and Sunblaze and the little kit. "Hey! Your Batkit right?"
