Finding Out
"Wake up Ghostkit." I heard a voice call out softly.
I opened my eyes. "Hm?" I groaned.
"Your alive!" I felt Puritykit's tongue like me vigouriously.
"Stop it! Of course I'm alive!" I said. I stood up and looked at her. She was older than me by two moons. "When are you turning into an apprentice?" I asked.
"Another moon, why?"
"Just calculating when it's my turn."
"Three moons." she said after quick thinking.
"Right." I sighed. "In one more moon I'll be alone with Robinfrost."
"Why don't you ever call her mother?" Puritykit asked.
"I don't know." I answered. I walked out of the nursery into the moon light. I heard a gasp. I turned slightly. "What?"
Rapidkit was staring at me. "Your pelt."
"What about it?"
"It's glowing!"
"What?" I looked at my snow white pelt.
Puritykit looked at me. "It's beautiful."
"Just another reason that makes me different from my whole clan." I sighed. I saw Whitenoise come out of his den. "Hello Whitenoise!" I called. He looked at me then ran into his den. "No warrior likes me here. Why?" I looked at Puritykit.
She shrugged. "Maybe because you got here five days after you were officially born."
I stared at her. "What?"
"Uh-oh. I wasn't supposed to tell you." Puritykit said.
I ran back into the nursery. "Robinfrost! Robinfrost!"
"What?" Robinfrost asked softly.
"Was I born in Shadowclan?"
She looked nervously at me. "Of course you were."
"I can see it in your face! Your lying!" I screamed at her. I ran out of the nursery and to the forest.
"Ghostkit wait!" I heard my so called "mother" yell. I ran under the brush and hid. I saw a few warriors pass.
"Oh so when I'm about to get in trouble they like me." I mumbled. A warrior stopped right in front of my face. I held my breath. They passed without even noticing me. "How could they not? I'm white! Mouse-brained warriors. I need to find a place where I belong." I said before running off again.
After a while of running I stumbled into a clearing. "This must be Fourtrees." I said in wonderment. I ran to the middle. "Millions of cats probably have been here." I sniffed the air. "Thunderclan..." I went over to the start of their territory. "Would this be a good home?" I asked myself. I shook my head. "I've heard the stories about them. Bloodthirsty bunch. Eating kits whole in leafbare." I ran to the other side and sniffed. "Windclan... Would they be a nice home?" I shook my head. "They're weaklings every last one of them. Can't fight their own battles, is what Robinfrost told me." I went to the start of Riverclan. "They are the only good match against Shadowclan, Robinfrost told me. Well now I'll see if it's true." And I took my first step into Riverclan territory.
I followed the scent of the river until I found it. Then I followed it until I could see the Thunderclan Sunningrocks that Robinfrost told me about. I laid in the soft grass and drifted to sleep.
"Is it dead?" I heard someone ask.
"No. You can see it breathing mousebrain!" I heard another. Must be kits. I thought. Maybe Shadowclan found me! I opened one eye and saw a face in mine. I jumped back and landed on my back.
"Ow!" I yelped. A tongue started to lick me.
"You smell and taste of Shadowclan. Is that where you were born?" A queen asked me.
I nodded and gulped. "I d-don't b-belong there any longer. They don't like me."
The queen nodded. "How did you find your way here?"
"I found Fourtrees and went on from there."
"Would you like to be my kit?" the queen asked.
"You'd take in a kit from another clan?"
"I can't just drown you. Besides. I lost a white kit and you look about the age of my kits."
"Oh. Well what is your name... m-mother."
"Amberflame. Your's?" Amberflame asked, her eyes shining.
"Ghostkit." I answered.
"That is very fitting for a white kit."
I smiled. "I think I belong here."

Apprentice Time!
I ran around excitedly. "My ceremony is today!" It's been three moons since I arrived to Riverclan and met my new mother. I heard her laughing. I pounced on her tail. "Aren't you proud?"
"Of course I am Ghostkit. My first litter are becoming apprentices today." She smiled widely.
"You never told me how you lost your kit." I said. "Will you tell me?"
"I will when you become a warrior. I vow to Starclan that I will." Amberflame said holding up a paw.
"Okay!" I said. I ran out of the nursery just in time to here Graystar call the clan meeting. I ran to stan beside Swordkit and Bloomkit.
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join beneath the highstump for a clan meeting!" He waited for all the cats to get there before continuing. "We are gathered here today to make these kits into apprentices. Step forward." We stepped forward together. "From this day forward, until you have earned your warrior names, you shall be known as Swordpaw, Bloompaw, and Ghostpaw. Swordpaw your mentor will be Blackfrost. Bloompaw your mentor will be Frostwing. And Ghostpaw, your mentor will be Crowtail. Blackfrost, I trained you myself. I hope you train him everything I had taught you." Blackfrost nodded and touched noses with Swordpaw. "Frostwing, Goldenfur trained you. I hope you pass on all the things she's taught you." Frostwing nodded and she and Bloompaw touched noses. "Crowtail you were the last apprentice of Mothstar before her tragic end. I hope you pass on all your courage and wisdom to Ghostpaw." Crowtail nodded as well and touched noses with me. A twinge of excitement ruffled my pelt. But he looked annoyed. I looked down.
"Swordpaw, Bloompaw, Ghostpaw! Swordpaw, Bloompaw, Ghostpaw! Swordpaw, Bloompaw, Ghostpaw!" the clan chanted, the excitement returned. I sat straight and proud as I watched my clan.
Swordpaw walked past me. "Race you to the Apprentice den!" He ran. I raced to catch up. I passed him and laughed. I ran into the Apprentice den and looked for an empty nest. I found one in the corner and settled into it. Swordpaw finally got there and took the one beside me. "You can run fast."
"Thanks." I smiled.
He smiled back. "Can't believe a she-cat beat me."
I glared and growled, "She-cats can do what ever toms can."
Bloompaw walked in. "What's up?"
"Nothing." I curled into a ball and stayed like that.
"Awe come on Ghostpaw. I didn't mean it ike that." Swordpaw nudged me with his nose. I curled into a tighter ball and ignored him. I heard him sigh then I felt a tongue lick my pelt. I felt a pang of saddness in my stomach. I wanted to apologize but I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

OCC: Just wondering, do cats know what a sword is? :S

Who knows. I just thought it was a good name. It's not like this is gonna be published anyway.
