The Little Drift [CLOSED]

A little black Bengal tom with yellow eyes padded out of the nursery. Littlekit smiled as he gazed around the beautiful weather. He smiled even bigger when he saw a familiar face.

Driftkit smiled widely when she saw the black Bengal.The dusty grey cat padded over,amber eyes gleaming."Hello,Littlekit.Nice whether today don't you think??"The kit mewed happily,forgetting all about how shy she was.

Littlekit purred. "Yep! Great weather! How are you Driftkit?" The tom meowed.

"Oh,I'm fine.What about you?" Driftkit mewed.The she-cat purred and sat down next to the tom.Her fluffy tail swished happily in the sand and she closed her eyes in a slow happy blink.

Littlekit purred. "I'm good. How are your litter mates?" The tom asked tilting his head.

"My litter mates?" The she-cat asked surprise."Well,Galekit's her usaul groochy self and Sedgekit is fine.Though they both really don't like Fernkit, are adopted brother,"Driftkit mewed but the last part about Fernkit had venom laced all through it.The she purred happily,curling Her fluffy tail around her dusty paws.

Littlekit tilted his head. "Why so negative when speaking Fernkit's name? If I had a litter mate then I'd always be posture it them. Well.. unless I'm in a bad mod or something like that." The black Bengal meowed.

Driftkit smiled but looked at the floor,there was no real reason to hate Fernkit.She just did."I don't know why I hate him,"She meowed"I just do."It probably sounded bad to dislike her own sibling but really she did.Driftkit shifted her paws uncomfortably before looking up into Littlekit's eyes.What would he think of her now he knew...The she didn't like that thought at all."You probably hate me now you know that I hate Fernkit,"Driftkit mewed sadly.She stared at her paws. Fernkit provably felt like this,unwanted and miserable.The dusty grey hated the feeling and in her mind knew she wouldn't treat Fernkit as she had done before.

Littlekit frowned and shook his head. "No I don't hate you. I could never hate you, your my friend. AND friends have to stick together no matter what. Besides. Theres just something about you I can't explain that makes me wanna be your friend. Call it what you will, Starclan prophecy, destiny, fate, a feeling or whatever." The tom replied simply. Though he was a strong firm believer in Starclan he thought of it more as destiny or fate, or some other power was deciding their fates and weaving them along other cats fates in a never ending pattern in the quilt of life.

Driftkit looked up her sad eyes now filled with joy.A smile spread across her cream tinged face."I...Wow,you don't hate me?Oh thank goodness!"She meowed happily.She pressed her head against Littlekit."I feel the same way,too."She mumbled.

Littlekit purred and gently licked her ear. "My mom says I'm to young and silly to believe in destiny and fate but I don't care. Anyways wanna play something?" The black tom meowed.

Driftkit smiled,purring loudly."Yes,of course!"She meowed."What do you want to play?"

Littlekit thought for a moment then shrugged.
