River bounced about around her mother,Spirit, excitedly."who are we going to see mother " she said happily. Spirit purred some leading her kit to where they would meet her mate,Eagle. She smiled " we are going to visit you father River " she mewed purring happily before sitting down. Though River didn't have the same idea she started to play with her mother's tail.

River blinked hearing the voice before she saw him and sh giggled without saying anything she scampered over to Eagle. She smiled " hi I'm river " she mewed.

Spirit purred watching " hello Eagles he mewed padding over.

"Hello, River. Hello, Spirit." He responded warmly, a deep feeling of happiness surging through his heart. "How've you two been? I haven't seen you since you were born, River! In case you didn't notice, I'm Eagle, your father." He informed his daughter slowly, and one part jokingly but truly at the same time. Taking a big gasp of air, big enough to fill his lungs, he meowed, "And, since it's been so very long since I've last seen you, River, I will give you a gift later on but for now, we are here to have some-" He gasped again, this time more exasperated, "-family time."

Spirit purred some " now need to get exasperated Eagle " She purred settling herself near him. She smiled some " an yes River this is your father " She mewed kindly. She then looked to Eagle " I'm sorry I couldn't bring her to see you sooner Eagle.... we recently lost a queen and I've been taking car of two of the Kits"She mewed looking to him quietly.

River blinked and purred excited " a gift really! Yay!" She mewed happily before she flicked her tail and started to play with his tail smiling. She was pretty much everywhere.

"Alright," He meowed, "so does that mean you adopted kits? Does that mean I'm their father, too? And, it's quite a shame to have one less queen." He tsk-tsked, allowing a shallow sigh to escape. "Yes, a gift. I hope you'll enjoy it." He replied sweetly to River, a feeling of happiness dampening his heart. I hope she'll enjoy it. I spent much time on it! He then suddenly grabbed River by the scruff and spun around in circles... Slowly. He hoped to hear a tiny squeal of delight, or otherwise a hiss from her or Spirit. "Duh ya wike twat?" He asked through her scruff, lowering her a tiny bit more to the ground.

River listened to her mother and father's conversation though was mostly focused on her father's tail. She smiled happily before she mewed " yay I can't wait for the fifth She mewed smiling. Soon sh wad pick up and spun around she gave a squeal of delight at it and she squirmed a bit still giving a squeal of delight.

"Yes...that's what it means....though I couldn't bring them yet because they are still young."She mewed. She then watched as he spun River around and she watched a little worried but didn't intervine.

"Weep!" He meowed happily, slowing down even more before exhaustedly placing River on the ground. He let out a yawn, then came the pants. "Ok. Bring them when they're ready." He purred in response to Spirit. "Now comes the gift." He said to River.

He headed to where he hid it. A clump of leaves with stuff inside. What could be more delightful? He lifted it with his sharp teeth, then headed back to his daughter. He placed it down before her, and opened it up.

There lay a perfect Mossball and a piece of prey.
