Fawnspirit then dashed back and forth, from den to den, calling and warning the cats inside on what do, how to help, and how to get out. She was going to get everyone out if she could help it.

Gratefully, Palepaw nodded his thanks to Rabbitpaw. His gaze snapped back to his plants, and he began setting up another batch of herbs, held by borage leaves. "Yes! Take these herbs with the rest of the cats!" He scooped up what he could carry and buried the rest before retreating the den. A large tree that lingered above the medicine den seemed to be tilting toward them. "Hurry!" the white tom hissed, staring wide-eyed at the tree. The tree seemed to be stabilized, but for how long? It was already stripped bare of branches, and the bark was already charring.

Larktalon scooped Sorrelkit up in his jaws, yanking her away from the flames. He tried to ignore the high-pitched mewls of pain as he hadn't gotten there in time. He skillfully avoided the burning branches and moss, only pained by the hot smoke in his nostrils. He held Sorrelkit low as he stalked quickly through the path behind the nursery, unable to cough behind the kitten's fur, smoke billowing from his nose.

Stonepaw was infuriated as she saw Larktalon pick up the kit and flee without even the slightest glance at the trapped apprentice, giving a last attempt at wailing for help the she-cat waited for as long as she could before giving a yowl of anger and grief. If no one was going to help her then it looked like she had no choice, picking a paw up to suffocate some of the flames on her body to give her a longer chance of survival the she-cat looked down at her crushed tail with a whimper. Digging her claws in the she-cat lent down and wrapped her jaws around her tail and chewed at it, ripping at it and trying to tear it away from the part of her tail that was trapped, crushed, and burned.


It was all over within a matter of moments that felt like hours to Stonepaw, her whole body was shaking violently as she looked down at what was her tail. Turning away with a choked sob the she-cat bounded towards safety, stumbling over more than she should have been doing but that is what the consequences where for biting her own tail off all to save her life. Skin black with heat and being charred and lack of hair where the fire had spread the grey she-cat stumbled towards and into safety.

ooc: I didn't even see Stonepaw's post, so I'll just assume that Larktalon didn't see (or hear?) Stonepaw.

Sorrelkit felt as she was lift off the ground and quickly carried off through the burning camp. She coughed as she inhale smoke. The smoke made it hard to see

Unfortunately, Nightfoot was a little late on getting the warning. Heck, she'd been sleeping really well when she started to hear the shouts of fire in her sleep. At first, she just thought that it was her dream, but the yelling continued to get louder and louder until she was brought back to consciousness. As she looked around, the warrior's den was already deserted and the camp was eerily quiet before the scent hit her first followed by the terrifying crackling of the fire that licked at the forest around her. Suddenly it was like instant adrenaline. Jumping to her feet, the she-cat ran out of the den and looked around the camp. There were only a few cats left including the medicine cat apprentice and Fawnspirit who was rushing in between dens checking for more cats. Checking behind her quickly, she double checked to make sure that there was no one left in the warrior's den. To her relief, there wasn't.

Rushing out of the camp, Nightfoot continuously checked to her left and right and above her to escape the flames but also keep a lookout for her clan mates. At this point, fire was everywhere. There was almost no escaping it, and with everything burned and burning like it was, it was getting hard to recognize the territory. She could forget about trying to track scents too. Everything was being overwhelmed by the smoke that was billowing towards the sky and covering the ground stinging her eyes and filling her lungs, but she kept running until there was a faint yowl in the distance.

Quickly making her way towards the cry for help, she made out the figure to be Featherheart struggling to move. The old she-cat was one of the first ones out of the camp, but ever since she had come down with greencough so long ago, she hadn't really been the same health-wise. "Featherheart!" Nightfoot shouted as she neared the warrior. "Nightfoot!" Featherheart rasped weakly as she tried to stand again but the smoke was becoming too overwhelming. "Don't worry! I've got you!" she warrior exclaimed as she pushed up against the she-cat, helping her stand. "Let's get you to safety, okay? You have to keep moving! We're almost there!" Nightfoot wasn't actually sure if that was true, but they had to keep going. When the she-cat looked back, she looked in horror as the red-hot flames grew closer and closer along with the bone-chilling sound of branches and full-sized trees breaking and falling onto the forest floor.

Fawnspirit nodded to Nightfoot as she made an appearance. She watched her fellow clanmate check the den after her and make a mad dash towards the exit the Breezestar was still holding. Mentally checking the places she'd already been, she makes a run for the medicine den.
"Hey!" she rasps, the smoke having irritated her throat. "You need to get out of here! Just grab as much as you can and run!"
She quickly backs out of the den, and checks the dens one last time to make sure no one else was there.

So soon to return home, and it was already being torn away from him. Smokeheart stared in shock as flames overtook the camp. He was on the other side of the back tunnel as cats raced though to escape the oncoming flames, but even as the flames and smoke grew thicker, he refused to leave as he knew his father was on the other side of the tunnel waiting for the rest to escape and there was no way he was losing his father already.

Badgerpaw raced pass the grey and white warrior, coming to a halt as he let out a cough. "Are you crazy? What are you doing just standing there! Come on!" he growled, his tail lashing. He didn't exactly like Smokeheart all that much - not being sure if he could trust the tom but he as sure didn't want him to die.

The warrior glanced at the apprentice who had stopped, shaking his head. "Don't worry about me, I want to help those who need it...I am also not leaving until I am sure my father is safe - we will need a leader after this."

Badgerpaw titled his head, a confused look spreading across his face as he stared at the noble tom, before he shook his head. "Fine...I better see you at the river thought," he snorted before racing off into the undergrowth to follow his Clanmates.

Leaning against the younger warrior, Featherheart tried hard to stay on her feet. She had to keep moving. She wasn't going to let this stupid fire take over her like it was! She was too good for that! It didn't matter how old she was, she was going to make it. Suddenly, though, her thoughts and confidence dropped as the smoke from the fire behind them consumed the she-cats and poured into Featherheart's lungs, sending her into a big coughing fit, keeping her from moving any farther and sending her back onto the ground. As Nightfoot continued walking, she stopped as soon as her vision was immediately blocked by all of the smoke. Thankfully, she had managed to take a rather big breath just before the smoke had overcome the two, but it seemed that Featherheart wasn't so lucky. As the older she-cat fell to the ground, Nightfoot stopped, her face coated in worry and... fear. She had no idea how to help her friend. "Come on, Featherheart. We have to go!"

After she finally managed to clear her lungs slightly, Featherheart looked up at the young warrior. "Don't worry... about me," she managed to say as she got back onto her feet and continued walking. "You go..."

"I'm not going to leave you!" Nightfoot cried, moving back around so that she was pushing Featherheart from behind using her head. "We're going to get you to the river, I promise!" And after some time, Nightfoot's promise was fulfilled. After trudging through the territory, barely missing fallen trees and still burning ashes falling from the sky, the two warriors finally made it to the river that seemed a whole lot farther away than usual.

Breathing heavily, Nightfoot gave one last push on Featherheart to get her into the water before she collapsed in the river herself. Honestly, she wasn't sure if they were the only ones here or not, but at the moment it didn't matter. As she finally looked up at the forest with on good look, she was horrified at the sight of their home burning to the ground. There was almost nothing left. Flames higher than the trees were stretching far into the sky, covering Silverpelt with smoke and ash. "What are we going to do, Featherheart?" she asked, but after waiting for a few minutes, there was no response. Looking over at the old she-cat, Nightfoot moved herself over to where Featherheart lay, pushing her with her nose. "Featherheart?" she asked again, but there was still no response. No movement.

Nothing.

"Featherheart!" she cried, pressing herself against the unmoving body of her friend. At this point, Nightfoot knew that Featherheart was gone, but she didn't want to believe it. Why? Was it from being older and not being able to handle this? Was it the smoke? She had no idea, but what Nightfoot did know was she was now all alone watching her home disappear in front of her eyes.

Sorrelkit waited with her clan mates. She hoped everyone would be okay. "Where are we going?" Sorrelkit asked in a squeaky, fearful voice

"Okay!" The brown and white tabby squeaked in panic, grabbing the herb bundle with his teeth, probably with a bit more force than he should have. The bundle split at the seams, borage leaves failing to hold it's shape. Frantically, the apprentice scrapped the herbs together as best as he could, and gripped them all within his jaws. He got ready to leave with the medicine cat apprentice when the tree branch, which was large enough to be a small tree, collapsed in front of them. It's fiery embers catching the dried herbs in the den alight. The little tom leapt back instinctually with fear, and looked over to Palepaw for guidance. What were they meant to do now?

As she backed out of yet another den, a deafening groan rose to her ears as she turned to watch a young tree begin to fall towards the medicine den. Seemingly in slow motion, the tree crashed into the den with a deafening crash, and she knew that the two apprentices were still inside.
"Palepaw! Rabbitpaw!" she cried out, rushing towards the den. She made her way inside to be faced with the downed tree. Looking around frantically, she looked for anything she could use to prop the tree up so they could escape. A smoldering branch was the closest thing to her so she gripped it in her teeth and tried to prop the tree up. Slowly, slowly the tree shuddered upwards as she got leverage, and tjere was a gap large enough for the apprentices to crawl through.
"Come on!" she rasped in between coughs.
