Flamepaw's sentencing [For Blaze and TC cats]

Duskfall after hearing what had happened from Specklefur, decided what he was going to do about this codebreaking. While he understood that love transcended clans at times, he, himself, fell for a Skyclan cat. But to try take a Riverclan cat as a mate after what they did to the clan. After they had killed so many of their own, and wounded far more, it was something that could not be easily forgiven.

While he'd be merciful as the tom was still quite young, he had no interest in allowing the young one to get away with this crime. Punishment would follow, and he'd learn the gravity of what he did.

Leaping onto High Rock, he yowled for the clan to gather around for the sentencing.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath Highrock for a clan meeting!"

Cloverpaw padded out and confused look on her face as she saw Flamepaw and older apprentice looking guilty. what did he do?she thought.

Blazingheart knew that this would come. The ginger tabby sadly padded into the clearing. He knew it wasn't an apprentice or warrior ceremony. His son was getting punished. His beloved son. He sat in the edge of camp, eyes dimmed more then usual.

Frozenflame padded into camp, coming back from a walk. He went over to his dad. "Whats going on?" He could tell it wasn't a ceremony by the look on Duskfall's face.

Stormpaw silently came out of the apprentice's den and sat down alone on the edge of camp. She didn't feel like sitting with her dad and older brother.

Soaringpaw followed the she-cat who was somehow related to him out of the apprentices den. Maybe she was his niece? Eh, Soaringpaw didn't care. He sat down next to her, looking up at his dad who was on the highrock. Soaringpaw had grown fond of Stormpaw, an unexplainable relationship. The two exchanged glances at Duskfall's expression.

Flashpaw padded out her ears pricked up and she say next to her sister Stormpaw. "What's going on?" The smaller she cat whispered to her sister.

Robinpaw was relaxing in the warmth of the sun when her mentor climbed atop Highrock and called for a meeting. He seemed very serious, and the expressions of the gathering cats were grave and somewhat subdued. She stood and found a spot closer to Highrock, focusing on Duskfall and wondering what he had to say.

"I don't know, Flashpaw, but grandpa looks awful disturbed at this," she whispered back. "Just wait and watch...I think it's about our uncle, Flamepaw."

"I wonder what he did..." She meowed.


Cloverpaw padded over. "Flamepaw took a mate from Riverclan and now he's getting punished." She padded back over to sit next to Sunpaw after telling the newest apprentices.

IC: Flamepaw padded nervously over to the Highrock, and looked up at Duskfall. What was his sentence? Was he going to be exiled? Or worse, killed? He sat down right in front of the Highrock, and stared down at his paws. He had considered grooming himself, but he realized it was too late. Plus, he wasn't in the mood for a grooming. Instead, he gave his chest fur a couple of self-conscious licks as his Clanmates' eyes burned into his pelt. He ducked his head and flattened his ears in embarrassment and shame. What would his Clanmates think of him? Would they turn against him?

He slowly turned his head from side to side, and saw Blazingheart, his beloved father, staring into the distance. His heart twisted with guilt. He had let his father down. Would Blazingheart stay on his side like his brother Frozenflame? Would his own mother, Hollyberry, stay on his side. He had a feeling they would, but that feeling was only natural. His parents had been on his side his whole life. But with Flamepaw's bad break in the warrior code, would they feel that he was their beloved son, or their Clan's traitor?

Goldenpaw looked around. "Um... Hi Flamepaw. Nice to meet you," Goldenpaw meowed sweetly. "I'm Goldenpaw. Are you all right?" She purred sweetly. She smelled guilt and fear scents in the air.

Flamepaw looked at Goldenpaw. He asked, "You've just been recently apprenticed, right? You're Sunpaw's sister?" Then, answering her question, he added, "Nice to meet you, too. But no, I'm not okay. I might be exiled from the Clan because I fell in love with a RiverClan she-cat. I broke the warrior code," he sighed, embarrassed, angry, and ashamed all at the same time. He hated himself for what he had done. Though he loved Specklepaw a lot, he loved his Clan more, and it broke his heart when he fully realized how badly he had betrayed them. When he had been meeting with Specklepaw, all he had known was that he loved her and was crossing Clan boundaries. His love had blinded him to the warrior code. But now that he was actually in trouble, he saw what he had done. All the damage, all the anger, all the feelings that their was a traitor in the Clan had come from his and Specklepaw. Just those two cats. Why did he have to meet the speckled she-cat in the first place? Then he wouldn't have been driven by love to break the warrior code and the trust his Clan had put in him! He had to hold back a hiss of pure frustration.

"Yes, I am Sunpaw's sister, and I think that it's rubbish that you can't have a mate from another Clan. RiverClan is full of sweet and nice and strong cats, so I understand why you feel the way you do." Goldenpaw meowed. She had a friend, from RiverClan. A she-cat, named Salmonkit. Who cares if she's a kit? Goldenpaw thought. She didn't want any apprentice to be exiled. "This is rubbish! Flamepaw should NOT be exiled! This is rubbish!" Goldenpaw hissed, blurting her opinion out. Oops. She thought.

Flamepaw stared in alarm at Goldenpaw. "Goldenpaw!" he hissed in warning. "Don't do that or Duskfall will claw your ears off!" Then he added more gently, "But, nevertheless, thank you for supporting me. I don't know how Duskfall in going to hold this meeting, but at least I know you and Frozenflame will be on my side." He sighed as he realized that two cronies were not enough or a lot. He needed much more. If Blazingheart and Hollyberry were on his side, that would be four. But four isn't enough to outvote the deputy of the whole Clan. He stared nervously around the Clan, looking for cats that didn't seem against him. But the only expressions he saw were curiousness and confusion. None of them except for Frozenflame seemed to have a determined look, as if he was committed to defending his brother. Flamepaw could not see his parents, so he didn't know what they were thinking.

Cloverpaw was thinking about what to do. Should she help Flamepaw? She hadn't really known him for a long time but he seemed nice enough and he was her friend after all. Ill stand with Flamepaw!she thought.
