Love (for Riptide and Shades)

Riptide sighed as he patroled along the thunderpaths of Twolegplace. He was tired, but he still had to work for Mufasa. Once the silver tabby saw it was all clear, he climbed up into a tree in a twoleg garden and sat, alert incase a twoleg or kittypet or a rouge came to bother him. At the sound of his name, he turned his head, but didn't see anyone there. That was odd, he thought. He heard his name again, coming from behind him he quickly turned around to see a cat standing there.  He sniffed the air for it's scent.

"Er, Riptide?" Said Shades, Once he turned around, she got closer to the tree, her fur a little messed up from running. She had just come back from visiting her sister, but she found his scent trail and followed him here, not exactly knowing why she did it. Once she got to the tree, she climbed onto the branch beside him, "Hey!"

Riptide smiled a little at Shades. "Hi," he replied as me made room for her. He secretly had a crush on the she-cat, he was just to embarrased to admit it. "So, how was your day?" He asked suddenly, wishing he could take it back.

Her tail twitched. "It was fine, I guess. Yours?" Shades said. She could tell the tom was nervous about something, she just didn't know what.
