Wilting Petals [SKYCLAN/ROGUE/KITTYPET EVENT]

The early morning frost had melted into dew at sunlight's first kiss, and the Twoleg garden was now shimmering in the light. There was something a little too... orderly about it. The grass was far too short and too clean-cut, and the only underbrush was the neatly trimmed rosebushes that lined the house. Otherwise it was open. Too open. If a kittypet caught sight of them, or even worse, a Twoleg...

This was stupid, but Leafbare was looming right over them, and the ice would kill whatever herbs that hadn't wilted yet. Worse, greencough had begun to spread through camp, and catmint was rare enough in Greenleaf. There was only one place it grew in abundance, and that was here. Normally, herb picking would be left to the medicine cats and maybe an unlucky apprentice or two, but now there was danger. It was urgent that they get enough of it to last them through the season, or else, who knows how many would die?

They were in luck, though. In the fresh wet grass, the taste of it was sharp in the air. But they'd better hurry if they wanted to get it before being spotted...

SkyClan, Leafbare brings sickness as well as cold. Deadly greencough has spread to your camp and you need this herb if you want to survive. Don't let the Twolegs catch you. You might want to spread out to other gardens to find more.

Rogues, kittypets, loners, and anyone else in Twolegplace... well, it's not every day that you see this many wild cats roving around.

The feeling of the cold and bitter snow ran up Rockfalls paw's every time the deputy took a step, but Rockfall knew that the first snow couldn't stop him from his task, an ear twitched as he spotted the two-leg's den nearby. Eyes glinting with clear satisfaction, it was still early in the morning the two-legs shouldn't notice the arrival of a group of cats coming into their garden to snatch the  catmint for their own needs, and if the deputy knew any better.. the mouse-brained two-legs should still be in their nests sleeping and trying to keep warm from the cool breezes that Leaf-bare brought with it.

Rockfall trotted slowly towards the den of the two-legs, his tail beckoned other cats forward, but before Rockfall did anything he had to remember to watch out for some certain selfish and greedy  cats.

A short, but rather well-muscled tom followed behind his deputy. For this urgent mission, Maplecloud had to conjure up the memory of a certain plant, back in the days before Skyclan. It was low-growing, soft, and had enticingly scented triangular leaves: catmint. The mature cat gazed around from atop a fence, scenting around for the precious herb. Finding no obvious hint, he decided to search near the den just across this one. He dashed across the cool, damp stone, even though no monsters were awake at this hour.

Leaping onto the wooden boards of a fence, the brown tuxedo hopped to the roof, from which was a better view. Suddenly, a muffled meow sounded behind him. He turned, amber eyes wide with suprise. Another cat, presumably a tom, stared at him. A clear substance separated them, hard and cold to the touch. He, too, was brown, although in a lighter shade. The kittypet's long, wiry-furred tail swished calmy, and he meowed again, voice still muffled.

"You're new," he seemed indifferent to the cat invading his territory, not knowing the possibility of there being a life-saving prospect in what he called 'his yard'. Uninterested in the clan cat, the unknown tom jumped away from the window, into the shadows of a darkened nest.

Relieved that no trouble was to be found here, Maplecloud also descended from the roof, and began searching under the bushes for any trace of the delicious plant.

A brown tabby she-cat emerged from a bush, scenting an unusual scent to be smelled in twolegplace. "Clan cats," Aspen growled to herself as she looked around and spotted a brown tom clan cat with amber eyes. Maplecloud. "Hey, what are you doing here, mouse brain? Shouldn't you be prancing around the forest, instead of invading twolegplace?" Aspen unsheathed her claws. "Go find somewhere else to play!" Of course, Aspen had been on clan cat territory before, but these clan cats smelled different then the other ones. Must be a different clan, thought the rouge.

Rockfall followed Maplecloud leaving the other cats to trail after them, for a second he paused being able to smell the sweet and attractive smell of the catmint, the deputies eyes twinkled in delight as he began to shuffle at the cold snow, not minding the cold at all and in a sweet surprise he had found some decent amount of catmint even though it was burried in the snow it would still be able to be used, Rockfall lowered his head snatching the catmint in his mouth, his nose gave a slight twitch as he recognised the smell of another rouge. Quickly Rockfall followed the smell and wasn't surprised at the slightest to find a hostile rouge intimidating Maplecloud.

His tail swayed calmly as he approached next to Maplecloud, and dropping the catmint in the snow that was infront of his paws
" Greetings." Rockfall had mewed calmly and in a friendly tone as he watched the hostile rouge unseath his own claws, however the deputy avoided unseathing his own claws and continued with the small conversation. "
We would be glad to leave eventually but however i do not think that this territory belongs to a rouge now does it?"

"Oh shut your yap, kittypet," Nightfoot spat as she walked up from behind Rockfall and Maplecloud. She remember this place like the back of her paw. It was a nightmare, but she remembered. All of the nights she had to scrounge for food out of the twoleg bins and desperately hope that there could be a mouse or two crawling around one of their nests. It was very difficult, though, since the food was wanted by more than just her. Trying to shake away the memory, she stared at Aspen. She was sure that she'd seen the cat before, but he probably knew her as Aisha-- the name she wished she could forget. "We're not here to 'invade,' we are here to grab an herb and we will be on our way. Nothing more, nothing less."

Honeyleaf cast a glance up at the two kitty-pets they encountered. The medicine cat had been here many times before gathering the needed herbs for her clan. The orange tabby shook out her fur before jumping over a fence that stood in her way. She carefully pushed her way under a bush looking for the herb that they oh so needed. She didn't like going under the bushes cause it snagged her fur, and other things making it painful for the long haired medicine cat. There was some around here she just knew it, but where was it hiding...
