The shy Blue

A lonely kit sat all by himself by the entrance of the nursery, watching the other kits play. Bluekit looked down and pawed at the ground. A warrior can't be shy, Bluekit thought. The Tom sighed and continued to watch the kits play. He couldn't build up the courage to talk to other cats, he didn't know why.

Monarchkit a goldenish she kit noticed him. She hadn't been playing with the other kits but by herself. She started to pad over to Bluekit."hey"She mewed looking at him with blue eyes.

Bluekit turned and looked over at the golden she-kit, not making eye contact. He didn't know what to do, so he just flicked his tail in greeting. "H..h...hi," he stammered. The shy tom stopped pawing at the ground, but his ears didn't stop twitching in nervousness.

Monarchkit blinked watching him for a moment. She flicked her white tail tip quietly before she mewed"do you uh maybe want to play?"She asked.

After a moment of taking in what Monarchkit had said, Bluekit shrugged. "I...I guess," he said softly so that only the she-kit and himself could hear. He slowly stood up and let his tail droop down. One of his ears still twitched, but the other one stopped as he became less nervous.

Monarchkit smiled a little bit then blinked noticing his tail droop"what's wrong?"she asked quietly.

Bluekit finally looked up at Monarchkit's face, his amber eyes staring at her blue ones. "Wh...what d...do you mean?" He stammered, his one ear still twitching but only slightly. His voice was still soft, but a bit louder. He made sure not to draw too much attention too himself by the other cats, not wanting to be too noticed. He shook his tail a tiny bit and tried to look friendly, but couldn't help looking small and afraid.

Monarchkit blinked then said"I noticed your tail droop....and well your were sitting here by yourself...so whats wrong?"She asked.

Bluekit looked down at his paws. "N...nothing. I'm just a bit shy, I guess." The last sentence was so quiet that it was almost a whisper. He rubbed his front paw against his other front leg in nervousness.

Monarchkit looked at him"oh well that makes more sense"She mewed quietly"well would you like to just talk maybe we don't have to play"She mewed.

Bluekit shrugged and continued to look at his paws. "I d...don't know," the kit answered.

Monarchkit blinked and sat down"ok"She mewed quietly.

Bluekit looked at all the other cats playing, talking, or hanging out. He didn't say anything to Monarchkit, but he sat down also.

She watched the other kits quietly for a moment before glancing at Bluekit.

Bluekit continued to look at the other kits. sensing Monarchkit glance at him, he continued stare at them. His position stayed exactly the same, he didn't even twitch or flick his tail. It was hard to tell if he was even breathing, but if you looked at him for long enough, you could see the slight rise and fall of his stomach. He didn't make a sound, not even a small mumble.
