Dapplepaw had finally escaped the busy life of camp and was hunting. She looked around and saw a vole sitting a good distance away from her. The black and white she-cat stalked the prey. The vole heard her approaching, and darted away. Dapplepaw chased it for a long time, and wasn't paying attention of the surroundings. She looked up just in time to see the gorge ahead of her. The vole turned away from the gorge swiftly, but Dapplepaw skidded and slid over the edge. "No! StarClan!" she yowled. She fell for a moment, and a sickening crunch could be heard from the top of the gorge. Dapplepaw was dead.
