A bored loner

A young black cat padded around the abandoned barn, being bored. The barn was nice, there was plenty of mice to eat, and straw to sleep on, but it was missing something...another cat. Dawn wanted badly to have a friend. The apprentice-sized loner had nobody to talk or play with. He chewed on a mouse bone and drew designs in the dirt with his claw. Something stirred in front of him.  He looked up and saw a figure approach him. "Hello?" He asked.

Heatherpaw squeezed into the entrance and saw a black cat. She was here, so she though she might as well talk to him. "Hello! I'm Heatherpaw Who are you?"

Dawn stood up and greeted the cat. A friend! He thought. "I'm Dawn! Wait...aren't you one of those clan cats?" He asked "what are you doing here?"

OOC: Heather, a clan cat wouldn't just randomly be at the barn. In the books, the barn was rarely explored by Clan cats. Please change that.

Brindlesong's silhouette sat at the entrance. "How are things going for you, Dawn?" She asked, a pile of mice she had caught ready for her to take home.

Dawn was happy to see his friend, Brindlesong there. "Great, it's just that it gets boring here, there is no other cats around. How's things going in your clan? Um...Breezeclan was it?" He asked as he sat down facing her.

"Close, WindClan. But it's all good." She said, flicking her tail. "I figured if I'm letting you stay here, i have to bring back lots of prey."

Dawn laughed a little at his mistake. When he saw the pile of mice that she was talking about, he was impressed. "Wow, your a good hunter! I'm pretty bad at hunting, but I manage to catch enough food to feed me," He said as he motioned to a small pile of mice in the barn that contained about three of them. "I don't eat much."

"I understand. But I feed more than one cat, too. We have to be taught, because it's a very important task." She said, pride on her face. Brindlesong curled her tail around her paws, nodding. "I better get back. These mice don't get to the fresh-kill pile by themselves."

Dawn looked at Brindlesong, puzzled. "The Fresh-kill pile?" He asked.

Heatherpaw listened, waiting for a spot to talk to them.
