Tunnel Cermonies

The three other clans drove her clan out. They drove her clan away from their home, but it shouldn't stop them from continuing on with their traditions. The age old tale of kits becoming apprentices, apprentices become warriors. It was their right, and Nightstar believed that StarClan hasn't abandoned them yet. Life doesn't come easy for those who sit around in loathing. They would have to do something about it. The first step, getting as much able paws as possible, and setting up a temporary camp.

Her blue eyes scanned the groups of cats, working on various tasks. It was midday, which was like midnight for cats out in the day. Being nocturnal, Nightstar wasn't used to being up this long. However, they had so much to do, most had forsaken sleeping until they were ready to drop. So the sleeping schedule was all messed up, but it didn't matter at the moment. As long as work was getting done. It was worth it.

A warm breeze swept through the tunnel, promising prey to becoming out of their burrows, and the warmth of Newleaf was upon them. Despite ShadowClan's situation, a quiet purr escaped her throat. 'I'm confident that we'll get back to our home. It may take some hard work. But there is not doubt in my mind.' Her eyes closed for the rest of the duration of the gentle breeze, enjoying the warmth. Once it was over, she opened her eyes once again to gather her clan.

"All cats old enough to catch their-"

The leader's voice was cut off by the sound of multiple Monsters roaring past them on the thunderpath above. The leader sent an annoyed glance above her. One of the bad parts about living here was that even if they were protected from the clans (The Clan's didn't know of the tunnel's existence) was the roar of the monsters. Once deafening loud, but long hours under the sound, it just blended into the background. Though, it could get really loud sometimes. Once the sound faded, Nightstar continued her summoning.

"-own prey, join around me for a clan meeting!"

Ravenpaw turned her head, looking back towards Nightstar. The dark pelted she-cat padded towards the leader, her tail twitching.

Small Bluekit came upon hearing Nightstar's words. With her father being deputy, she always tried to picture him as Nightstar, and couldn't wait to see the day when he became Thrushstar, if she did live to that extent. Her blue fur was kept neat, and she sat down as to where they were called.

As Nightstars words hit his ears, young Icekit rose from his sitting position silently as he slowly made he way over to the leader. His white and black coat was nicely groomed and would gleam in the sun, if there was any in this tunnel. But he sat near, but not too close, to Bluekit with his head low but his ears perked. Through all of this he remained silent, not uttering or making a slight sound.

Redshade padded over and sat down, his son, Wolfkit, following quietly behind him. Redshade gave him a sharp nudge with his muzzle and motioned for him to sit down by the other kits who were going to have their ceremonies. Wolfkit, being a little scared of his father most of the time, did as he was told quickly and silently took his seat by Icekit and Bluekit, though their was a good tail-length between them. He didn't really want to talk to anyone right now anyways.

Redshade glanced back, wondering if Leechkit and Amberkit were coming along with Snowfall. He twitched a whisker, and turned back to wait for the ceremonies to begin. She could deal with the two she-kits, and he would deal with their son. He had silently decided that when they were all born.

Leechkit padded over to sit by the other kits, head and tail held high. As she sat, she noticed how nervous Wolfkit looked, so she scooted a bit closer to him, laying her tail over his.

Silverleaf padded slowly over. Looks like an apprentice ceremony. Maybe... I can get my own apprentice? She felt like every time, somebody else- somebody younger and less experienced- would get the apprentice. Will I finally get one? Or am I just raising false hopes?

Moonpaw made her way over and sat down.

Nightpaw sat down next to Moonpaw.

Whitepaw moved forward to. His younger sister had helped him. Spiritpaw sat at the side of the crowd with a warm smile on her face.

Seeing that the clan had gathered as much as they could have in the crowded area. She started softly, pausing every time a monster past over head. "Even if we were shoved and bullied out of our home, doesn't make us any less of the ShadowClan we were there. Meaning, apprentices still can become warriors. Kits can still become apprentices. Just because we aren't home, doesn't mean we are different." Nightstar looked over the group. "And I believe, if we get back on our paws and we work hard, we'll be back in camp once more." Her blue eyes sparkled at the goal. "Now, we must take or first step to our goal. Could Squirrelpaw, Ravenpaw, Moonpaw, and Whitepaw please step forward?"


ooc-Because I've kept you guys waiting, I'd like people to post as fast as possible to get everyone's ceremonies done. If I missed any, let me know! 8D Another quick note, Go ahead and post in the tunnel as if it were camp, just nothing too drastic. Kits are at another cave, the ones that aren't becoming apprentices at least. But that'll be solved in this topic.

Whitepaw stepped forward. His black eyes gleamed in the dim light.

Ravenpaw stepped forward with her head held high, smiling wide.

Thrushstripe looked down at the three apprentices who were just a few moments away from being warriors. Giving them a serious look, he asked them the most important question. "Do you three promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your clan, even at the cost of your life?" When he said the words, the deputy began to ponder that. It was what all cats should do, but it was strange saying it. Focusing back, he waited on an answer.

OOC2: Sarrow what do you want Raven's warrior name to be?

Whitepaw raised his head high.
"I do," he replied strongly. He kept his gaze on Thrushstripe.
