Rookkit's Apprentice Ceremony

The ThunderClan leader yowled loudly from the Highrock, signaling for a Clan meeting.

Spottedfeather came under the Highrock, waiting for her adopted daughter to come out. When she did, she licked a stray fur sticking up from her head, back into place.

Rookkit bounced out of the Nursery. She purred when Spottedfeather fixed her pelt. She walked up to Highrock and looked up at her leader.

Dewstar smiled down at the kit. Ah, the last kit in the nursery. She'll like having denmates again. "Rookkit, please step forward."

Rookkit stepped forward a little more. Her eyes gleamed with happiness

"You have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this moment on, until you receive your warrior name, you shall be called Rookpaw. Spottedfeather, you have successfully trained Rainspot and made a fine warrior out of her. I trust you will also do well with Rookpaw." The pale gray she-cat climbed down the rock, pleased to get away from the bitter winds.

Rookkit smiled delightedly and went over to her mentor. She reached up and and touched noses with her.

Spottedfeather touched noses with her adopted daughter/new apprentice. "I'm not going to go too easy on you, nor too hard" she smiled. 'Never thought I would get my own adopted daughter as an apprentice.' No, her daughter. She shouldn't classify her as just and adopted daughter. But as a daughter in itself. She licked Rookpaw head. "Training starts tomorrow."

Rookpaw smiled. "Yes Spottedfeather!" she purred. She stretched her legs to appear taller. Her eyes gleamed with happiness.
