Lightpaw's Assessment

Lightpaw jumped with joy as she saw the fish go out of the water and land on the bank, close by to where she buried her other fish. She ran over and bit it, then buried it. "I should try catching something else." She said. She padded away from the river and opened her mouth, hoping to find something to catch. Lightpaw smelled the mouse. she crouched down in her hunters crouch. And after only two steps she saw the mouse. Lightpaw didn't have to move any further, and then She jumped as hard as she could.

Lightpaw turned around with the mouse haning down from her mouth. "Finally!" Lightpaw said as she sat it down. "I cought three peices of prey!" Lightpaw went back to the river and dug up her two fish, then with the fish and the mouse dangling from her mouth, she padded back to camp.

Reedheart stalked after her with a triumphant grin on his face. Perhaps she was not the most skilled huntress in RiverClan, but she had demonstrated her skill. She was ready for warriorhood. "Lightpaw!" he called from behind her, speeding up to walk beside the apprentice. "Bring two of those to the freshkill pile, and then feel free to eat your pick." A purr began to rumble in the senior warrior's throat. "Try to rest up as well. You may just have your vigil tonight."

Lightpaw had a glimmer of excitement in her eye. "Thank you Reedheart!" She said through the prey she had caught. Lightpaw padded over to the fresh kill pile and set down the mouse and the smaller fish, for she was hungry because she was hunting all day, and she sat by the apprentice den. Lightpaw almost bursted with joy, but she made herself calm. After finishing her fish, Lightpaw padded into the apprentice den and slept.
