What is that on the ground?

It was moon high as a black long haired She-cat was walking in a marshy area with a tiny kit squirming in her mouth. She heard a noise. She walked faster. She finally came to the spot. She set the tiny kit down and ran away,crying. The poor kit cried desperately for her mother but she didn't come back. The kit was to small to walk, her only hope was that someone would come and find her.

Sagestar had been padding out through the territory when the scent of rogue hit his throat. With a growl, the hairs on his pelt quickly raised and he dashed out across the marsh. Imagine his surprise and confusing when there was no other cat in sight, but only the mewling of a small, helpless kit. He stared the little one down for a few moments, poking his nose at it gently. How long had it been here? The tom couldn't tell exactly, but who would just abandon their kit like this? He considered leaving it for a few moments, lest its mother come back, but it was out in the open and the other rogue scent had already gone. He then considered not caring and tried to turn away, but ultimately couldn't; picking up the little kit by the scruff, he carried her back to camp.

The little kit squirmed in the leader's mouth as she was taken back to Shadowclan camp. What is happening? The small kit thought Were is this cat taking me?
