Mistyfalcon stood by the camp entrance, watching the setting sun thoughtfully. He'd been assigned to a hunting patrol, which wasn't something he minded. Tonight however, it wasn't with anyone he knew well, and that had his shoulders tensing slightly, gray and black tail twitching back and forth in anticipation.
He could be social with his friends. Batglow had a tendency to drag him into being sociable whether he wanted to be or not, but he was a friend. He'd be more relaxed if this patrol included the other tom, but it did not. The she-cat he was supposed to be patrolling with had only just returned to the clan, and from what little Mistyfalcon understood, had been away long before his birth. They hadn't so much as said a word to each other, and Mistyfalcon could not help but think of her as more of a stranger than anything else.
Still, the she-cat didn't keep him waiting long, and he turned dark eyes towards her.
"Laurellight, right?" He asked, "I'm Mistyfalcon." He shifted, unsure of what he could say. Introductions and small talk were not his strong suit, and Mistyfalcon was personally more comfortable with silence. He supposed he'd figure out whether or not this she-cat shared his awkwardness or if she was going to be one of his more talkative clanmates soon enough.
