Shadekit and Smokekit's Apprentice Ceremony

Sagestar glanced down at the camp, eying the entrance to the nursery where a few kits and queens sat, one tom already looking like he was too old to be there, as well as the she-cat next to him, not quite as big - but standing out from the rest. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath the Jagged Rock for a clan meeting!"

Shadekit poked his head out of the nursery, and before anyone could tell him otherwise he was scampering over. His fur wasn't exactly perfect, but it wasn't too messy either, and besides, what did he care? The large, energetic tom just wanted to see what the meeting was about.

Smokekit soon followed Shadekit out excited for the coming meeting. Her fur was nice and neat for she was grooming it all morning instead of playing moss ball. She wanted to look her best.

Nightpaw padded from the apprentice den; letting out a yawn as she glanced at the two kits as they came from the nursery. It wasn't hard to figure out that they were the ones that that this meeting were about; they weren't much younger then her anyways. She sat down next to the apprentice den, a smile on her face as she waited for the ceremony to start.

Sagestar's gaze flickered down at the cats as they padded into the clearing. He wished for a moment that Gingerheart wasn't in the nursery, but they'd have to make due, he supposed. fawk it. all of you just COME 'ERE. i'll train all of you MAHSELFUH >:I /shot "ShadowClan, we are blessed this new-leaf with many new additions to the clan." He mused before going on, "Smokekit and Shadekit, you have reached the age of six moons and so we start your apprenticeship."

"Shadekit, from this moment on until you have received your warrior name, you will be known as Shadepaw. Cedarfur will be your mentor." The tom nodded at the newly named tom and giving them a few moments to meet before moving on.

His gaze turned to the she-cat. "Smokekit, from this moment on you will be known as Smokepaw." The leader meowed, "Nightwing will mentor you as well." Yay.

Shadekit blinked in surprise, racing forward to touch his nose to Cedarfur's. "What first? The apprentices say you're one of the best warriors, so can we do something cool? Like battle practice!" The tom squeaked happily, circling the Warrior.

Nightwing who had been there the whole time, Walked up to her newly named apprentice and delicately touched noses, accepting her charge. The deputy couldn't help but purr with amusement as she remembered how Sagestar had taken up her and Cedarfur. We'll get enough warriors where apprentices wouldn't have to share mentors soon. These apprentices look promising. Motioning to Smokepaw, "Later we'll go along the borders with Darkpaw." She gave her tail a happy wave, then glancing at the older apprentices, she added. "Go join your new denmates~"

smokepaw had been amazed that she got the deputy for a mentor. Joy had filled her when she touched noses with her new mentor. "I am excited to see the territory!" She purred before turning, and going to settle into the apprentices den.
