Shelter [P11]

Lionstar paused at the Thunderpath, looking back over his shoulder to make sure the small patrol was following. So many thoughts burned through his head, but he tried his best to stay focused. So far, it was working. They would go to Windclan and explain the danger, as well as request the three clans form a sort of alliance while the rogue threat was still at large. "Everyone ready? Keep your senses alert for a patrol when we get into Windclan territory." He meowed clearly, getting ready to spring away onto the Thunderpath. No monsters in sight.

It was time.

Brightpaw silently shook as Lionstar spoke. It was excitement from going to a clan that she'd never really seen before, and being scared because of what was happening. She bowed her head to Lionstar. Brightpaw was as ready as she ever would be.

Flamestar stepped up beside the Thunderclan cats and nodded slowly. "I don't see any monsters coming. I'll go first so there'll be a cat to watch out from the other side when you go across." He offered, bunching his muscles. He sprang forward, a blaze of red-orange as he darted across the Thunderpath, which seemed oddly quiet so far. He made it too the other side, panting, luckily without much trouble. "Who's next?" He called.

Lionstar sat down. "Alright. I'll watch out on this side. You two can go." He meowed, nodding to the medicine cats.

Kestrelflight paused. She didn't really want to go. Glancing back to an angry Lilacstorm and the usual Redheart, she let out a small hiss. "Would you just chill, Lilacstorm? WindClan is OK." Lilacstorm just hissed back at her, turning her back and not saying anything. Kestrelflight flicked her tail in annoyance, standing straight up. She studied the Thunderpath curiously, before springing across the hardened black. Once she was across, she watched Lilacstorm and Redheart safely cross and settle beside her

Brightpaw shook one last time before darting across, images of being squashed by one of the big monsters she'd heard in stories while being stuck in the Nursery danced in her head. I don't think I'll ever want to do that again... she mewed in her head.

Flamestar raced across after them, glad to see everyone safe on the other side.

Lionstar spun around as soon as Flamestar reached the other side. "Alright let's go." He meowed, beginning to pad off.

Soon, they were farther into the territory, where Windclan scent was strong. The golden tom scrunched his nose up slightly, not exactly enjoying the smell. "We're well in the territory now, it seems." He grunted, in case it wasn't obvious. "Stay together. We should run into a patrol soon..."

Thunderclan? A slightly unfamiliar - yet still distinct - smell reached Falconfang as he walked across Windclan territory. Thoughts of the conversation with Raccoonheart came to mind: sure, he didn't exactly trust the other clans, but he hadn't imagined that she'd be right in that they were infiltrating their territory. He thought she was just being paranoid, but he couldn't disregard what he had smelled... wait, there was more than just that. Something with a slight Thunderclan tang, but still distinct despite... Skyclan too?! Had the two clans teamed up to take Windclan down?! The thought of running back to camp to call Stormstar came to mind, but common sense ended up winning over. There was no evidence to prove that they were here to attack them: in fact, he hadn't even seen them. Besides, loathe as he was to admit it, the clan was not strong enough to take on two combined clans. For now, a peaceful attempt would have to suffice.

Following the scent of the intruding cats, Falconfang stepped over a hill and saw them coming his way. Moving towards them to give a greeting, he still kept his distance, lest they be here for more sinister reasons. "Greetings," he mewed calmly, although a touch of suspicion was laced in his words. Looking over the four cats, he recognized the leaders of Thunderclan and Skyclan - Lionstar and Flamestar - with two other cats. Medicine cats perhaps? He couldn't honestly remember. "Lionstar, Flamestar," he continued, dipping his head slightly in respect to the leaders, "what brings you to Windclan?" While his tone was casual, the stance the brown-furred warrior took did not hide the suspicion he held about their intent.

Raccoonheart wasn't to far behind Falconfang when it came to the smell. She was out hunting when the smell came apparent to her. She drew her lips back in a snarl, she jumped though the snow trying to reach the group before they got any farther in the territory. She slowed a bit when she saw Falconfang had already confronted the group. She didn't like the two leaders being on her territory one bit. The gray deputy didn't care if they were leaders they had no right to be here! She walked down the slope and stood next to Falconfang. Even the the she-cat was small she was a force to be reckoned with. She was going to ask what they wanted, but Falconfang beat her to the chase so she just stood off to the side glaring at the two leaders waiting for an answer.

Flamestar looked up, eyes holding a calm look. "We are no threat to you. We wish only to speak to Stormstar. It's important, and in case you're wondering what that may be, I'll tell you now that you'll surely find out soon. However, your leader should hear this first. It involves all the clans." He explained, dipping his head to the Windclan deputy to show he was not hostile.

Brightpaw laid back, feeling scared and threatened by the approaching Windclan members, their presence making her feel smaller than she actually was, like a kit again. "Y-yeah. W-we'll explain ourselves at the camp."

Lionstar gently laid his tail down on Brightpaw's shoulder to reassure her, before quickly whisking it away. "Stay calm. Everything will be alight." He murmured, looking back up at the Windclan cats.

"What Flamestar said is true. You have my word." He called to them, dipping his head as well.

Raccoonheart glared at the two leaders. "Anything you can share with my leader you can share with me. Also if it involves all the clans then why don't you wait until the next gathering? That way everyone can hear it." the gray she-cat mewed. "Also how do I know you aren't planning anything? For all I know once you get to our camp you could kill Stormstar and take Windclan for extra territory." This was not helping the paranoid deputy one bit. She glanced at Falconfang for a moment before turning her gaze back to the leaders.

Minteyes -who was there the whole time- stood behind Falconfang and stayed quiet. She was ready for whatever was going to happen.
